AFTER ANAKIN AND AHSOKA left the bridge, the young woman couldn't help but shake her head in exasperation. "That's so typical.. Argh!" she grumbled and braced herself with her arms on the table, snorting scornfully and earning confused looks from the clones, who turned back away towards their work after Keira gave them a death glare.

"You know something!" she accused Rex and felt him get visibly nervous but still refused to say anything. "Honestly, no," he said innocently, glaring at her, which only made her narrow her eyes and clench her jaw.

"Shall I use my Jedi trick on you?" she threatened, earning a nervous laugh from him when he just shook his head and cleared his throat. "I thought you weren't a Jedi anymore?"

Keira looked at him in annoyance. "Whose side are you on?"

Rex shrugged innocently. "On no ones!", he countered and saw how the young woman turned around and just wanted to walk away, probably doing something stupid.

The captain raised his eyebrows and sighed before sprinting after her and saw her suddenly collapse.

Concern spread throughout his body as he saw the young woman lying weak on the ground. "Keira!" he blurted out and quickly walked over to her and eyed her suspiciously, but suddenly her thighs were around his neck and before he knew it, he was lying on his back.

The young woman stood over him and shook her head. "Rex, don't follow me." She threatened, but he had already aimed his blaster at her. "Keira, you stay here."

She shook her head. "If you tell me what Anakin's up to."

The captain shook his head. "No, that's not my job. I have orders to put you under surveillance and prevent you from doing anything stupid like you are doing now!"

"I'm not bound by your rules," she countered, walking towards him with the clone captain still aiming his weapons at her.

"I can't let that happen," Rex grumbled, eyebrows furrowed at her. "I promised General Skywalker!"

Keira shook her head. "Then at least help me if you have to babysit me."

Rex seemed thoughtful and sighed, unsure of what to do.

He had to protect her - at all costs. He'd seen what happened when he didn't and failed not only his general but himself as well. "You know I can't do that."

Keira clenched her jaw. "Then you're just an obstacle I have to get out of my way."

Rex looked at her the way the young woman herself did. The captain swallowed, but prepared to incapacitate Keira if necessary. "I don't want to do this, Keira," he said honestly, watching her features refine, her gaze softening. "Me neither, Rex."
