HER FIRST DAY as the help of the intergalactical republic was by far more successful than she had though when they had to catch Slick.
Keira was still with Rex at the med-bay, patiently leaning against the cold wall behind her with her arms crossed in front of her and her right foot angled onto it. She had time to think, while Rex' leg had been healed fully in the bacta tank.
It wasn't a really big wound or broken enough take to long, but she still waited for sure two hours probably.
Keira had to admit that she liked having them around again, the clones and Jedi's, which she knew would happen deep inside her but with the intention not to do it. She let out a sigh, as she ran her slim fingers through her red hair, scratching the top of it all in one.
She knew that she needed to connect herself with the force once more, if she wanted to be a big useful part of the republic once more- to her friends. She owed it to Anakin, at least to him and maybe Obi-Wan, but more to her best friend. And she still hadn't figured out where she had met Rex before, it was in her brain only the moment they locked their eyes and their gaze met.
Keira was so caught in her own in mind, she didn't even realize the clone Captain sneaking up on her, watching her and mildly clearing his throat akwardly aside her, causing the young woman to wake up from her state, sending him a forced smile.
"I'm surprised.", she chuckled. "No one can easily sneack up on me like that."
Rex raised an eyebrow, inspecting the young woman in front of him and trying to read her remarkeable face features- of course with no success.
"Are you alright?", he asked, looking rather concerned at the beautiful woman in front of him, who just lifted her head up towards him, nodding and sighing. Rex was like a head bigger than Keira.
"Of course."
Rex lifted an eyebrow. "I gotta be, tough.", she smiled a little at him, which made him really worry more about her. "Are you good? How's your leg?" The clone Captain shrugged. "It wasn't a big deal, I could've healed without a bacta tank.", he chuckled and let his gaze wander down to the ground, while clearing his throat. "But to be honest, thank you.. uhm.. for helping me."
