WHEN THE TWO CLONES FIVES AND ECHO have been thankfully promoted by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Keira just stood a little away like always. "On behalf of the rebuplic, we thank you, for your valiant service and we honour your comrades sacrifice."
Keira flashed a soft smile towards them, when Anakin's voice erupted in her ears. "Your new unit is lucky to have you.", he said tenderly, while Obi-Wan gave them their medal. "I'd be proud to fight by your side anytime, anywhere. And Keira as well."
The young woman watched the two Jedi's disappear once again, only for Anakin, throwing a worried glare towards his best friend who just forced a smile and nodded, lying to him that she was fine.
Hopefully, he wasn't that much of an ass and tried to read her mind.
Keira was honest, she hated to be the main attraction. Since her first day as a General commanding clone trooper, everybody had heard about her genuine gestures and kindness, as well as her female features.
She didn't care about that to be honest, because men will be men, it doesnt matter if they were clones or not. She felt Rex stare at her bottom when she climbed in front of him, but Plo Koon told her, that she was indeed a beautiful woman. And that she should never be afraid or insecure about herself.
She decided to walk towards the clones, maybe it would help her run away from her own mind for a bit. "My deepest congratulations.", she chuckled, earning a proud grin from the two clones in front of her. "Where have you two been assigened?"
Echo chuckled. "To the 501st!", he said, his voice filled with excitement. "Rex is our Captain."
Keira sent them a tender smile. "I'm happy for you two.", she told them. "But in all honesty, don't get to cocky, or Captain Grumpy will let you pay."
Rex scoffed at her joke, while the other two snickered and turned around, walking away proudly and getting themselves a little earned rest.
"I'm not grumpy."
Keira chuckled. "No, just bossy.", she said. "I'm not bossy!"
The young woman shook her head, watching, that everyone was walking away from them and getting back to their own work, while Cody shot Rex a wink and thumbs up behind Keira's back, causing the Captain to swallow nervously.
"I.. uh.. wanted to apologize.", he said while clearing his throat and shifting akwardly around in his place and scratching the back of his head. "It was a really weird situation.."
Keira nodded. "It was.", she said, while looking anywhere but him, with her one hand holding across her other to her elbow. "I- Uh.. I'd love to get a drink with you."
