NEARLY HEALED pt. II

THE SUN WAS RISING after such an eventful night, causing the two to keep watch together.

Rex told Keira she could get some rest- yet she waited until he was able to take some, instead: he stayed awake with her the entire time, just like she did with him.

"They're coming back.", she whispered, earning a nod. "Probably.", Rex agreed. "Only thing we can do is to stay put."

Keira nodded, when the two of them shared a secret look, after hearing Anakin groan behind them, causing them to turn around. While the red haired woman looked in worry at her friend, Rex placed his hand onto his shoulder and tried to lay him back down.

"General.", he started. "You need to maintain your rest."

"I.. can't rest.", Anakin said between weak groans and a painful expression onto his face, while the young woman glared in worry at him. "Rex, they're coming. I can.. hear them."

It wasn't a secret that those things wanted to attack them again, they just needed the two of them to be completely diverted from Anakin, using their distraction to attack them and getting their breakfast.

Keira couldn't even react fast enough, was Anakin on his feet, assisted in standing by Rex. "We must.. fight.", Anakin stated, holding his side, earning a frown from his best friend.

The red haired woman opened her mouth to protest, only to turn around at the squealing creature behind them. "Oh great!", she mumbled when she had gotten her batons out from their holster and immediately activated under her touch.

Keira looked at the three creatures, who were ready to bail and certainly eat them. Well, the young woman wasn't ready to be a meal- and if necessary, no breakfast.

Anakin had ignited his lightsaber aside him, his aura getting weaker and weaker every minute he stood on his legs to fight.

Rex was ready- he took one shot to kill the first creature with his blaster, while grabbing Keira's waist while she pushed Anakin aside and rolled with him towards the ground.

A small smile appeared onto her lips, when she watched the Captain's stern look and completely protecting posture over her.

Anakin landed onto the ground, once again unconcious while Rex held the young woman close to him.

To their happy end, Ahsoka and Bly had arrived, with a small, furry and unknown creature, that simply rolled around like a little soccerball..

Rex' left arm was hurt, when the young woman freed herself from his grasp and watched the annoyed Ahsoka help that little thing to chain up the creature, that was about to eat the three of them not even a second ago..
