A/n: this chapter contains mentions of blood
just before dinner cassy comes running back through the maze doors stopping at the garden
"your back already" thena asks confused
" yeah, I came back early to check on you two and your matching limps" cassy says laughing
"haha, very funny cassy"newt Says sarcastically
" how are you actually though" cassy asks thena sincerely
". Yeah I'm better, thank you" thena replies
" apart from that I heard frypan was making special casserole for dinner, and I wanted to get there before the boys" cassy says as she is walking to go get dinner, Minho and Thomas come out of the maze not long after everyone else in the glade following them to dinner.
"I think I'm going to go to bed" athena says, she had been staring and picking at her food for the past hour and newt was growing increasingly concerned
"are you ok queeny, you've barley ouched your food" newt said letting his tone express a slight bit of concern
"y-yeah Im fine, just tired " athena said getting up slowly from her seat
"I'll go with you then"newt says getting up with athena
"newt you really don't have-"
"I want to ok queeny"
Athena smiled slightly at newt as they walked back newt directed them towards the homestead and athena couldn't be bothered to argue, just as they made it inside the room a pain shot through Athenas lower stomach Almost as if she was just stabbed violently multiple times, the pain caused Athena to collapse slightly pulling her hand to her stomach of course also hurting her leg in the process
" queeny!" Newt turned to pull athena up off the floor and helped her to his bed
"I'm going to get Jeff and Clint" newt says concern flooding his voice
"no newt Im fine"Athena says not wanting to concern the others
" you didn't eat anything at dinner and you just collapsed and now your refusing to see Jeff and Clint" newt says trying to convince her to get help
" Im fine, please if it still hurts in the morning I'll go see them" athena says taking off her shoes
"fine but I'm taking you to them first thing in the morning, either way I'm not leaving you alone tonight" newt says his voice caring but stern at the same time
"then stay here with me tonight" athena says moving the blanket ushering newt to join her a slight unsureness in her actions
"fine but if Anything happens Im getting Jeff and Clint right away" newt said as he wrapped his arms around athena hopping into bed.
-later in the night-
Athena awoke to a sharp stabbing pain in her lower stomach it situating itself in her lower stomach for about a minute before leaving a breath of relief escaping her mouth before another stabbing coursed through her lower body waking up newt as Athena grabs her stomach curling into a ball the sudden movements concerning newt as he opens his eyes
"shuck, SHUCK, Athena are you ok?"
Newts concerned tone getting Athena to look at him
"can you get cassy" Athena replies softly
"your bleeding, I'm getting Jeff and Clint" newt says taking the blood stained sheet off Athena
"PLEASE, just get cassy" thena says clenching at her stomach again
" o-ok"
newt kisses Thena's forehead and running to get cassy
" CASSY HELP" Newt yells as he shakes cassy awake
"what newt, I WAS trying to sleep" cassy says sitting up and rubbing her eyes
"its Athena shes bleeding a-and shes been clutching her stomach and and I tried to help but she only wants you" newt says his heart beat loud enough for him to think cassy can hear it
"ohhh, calm down shes fine, just got her period" cassy said getting out of her sleeping bag and heading back to the homestead. As cassy enters she edged towards a closet and hissed
"if you tell minho where this is I'll you will have a lot more then a limp." Newt took a step back in mock surrender. Cassy took out three capsule looking things, a pair of comfortable clothes and a bar of chocolate, she walked over to the small room that belonged to newt and Athena was staying in.
"NEWT"
cassy started as newt popped his head up happy to be of use,
"piss off. Thena. Here"
she said passing the clothes and capsules to Athena, she then pushed newt out of the room and then began to explain what the hell a period was.
After a while Thena began to smile, she had a small bar of chocolate in her hand and was in a new pair of clothes. Cassy just looked at her then said
"I have to go run the maze now but ill talk to u later about this... take a day off and sleep ok" she left the room finally letting newt back in. Newt sat next to Athena worry laced in every cell of his body. Thena smiled at him taking another bite of chocolate, Newt looked her over once again then hugged her and whispered in her ear
"tell me your ok." Athena smiled and just nodded still eating the chocolate.
A/n: again sorry for another filler ish chapter, sadly Athena has discovered the once a month she will have to deal with throughout her journey
