Amanda's POV:
The sunlight begins to pour through the window and onto my face as the morning begs for me to start the day. I try to turn over only to realize I'm stuck.
"What th-" It is at this moment the memories from the night before come flooding back. Did I really ask Bryan to share the bed with me? When did I get so bold? I try to gently and quietly remove his arm from around my waist, hoping desperately not to wake him up. I slide toward the edge of the bed before I am suddenly pulled back with extremely strong arms.
"Good morning, beautiful." I feel him snuggle closer. "I could get used to this." Bryan whispers into my ear. His warm breath sent chills down my body as my face begins to heat up. I snake my arms around his arms and squeeze.
"As sweet as this moment is, if you don't let me go we will have a very unsweet and unsanitary situation with my bladder!" I chuckle.
"Oh! Sorry!" he said, quickly releasing me so I could finally get to the bathroom. I rush out the bedroom to the bathroom with my bag in tow so I could complete my morning ritual and get rid of my morning breath. Once I finished, I head back to the room to find Bryan dressed and looking even more handsome with scruffy hair and slightly disheveled clothes. He turns around and flashes a smile. I can't help but return it with my own.
"So...." I start.
"So?" he questions with a slight smirk rising on his face. He stares intently waiting for my reason. Why do I feel awkward and shy all of a sudden? I take a deep breath to calm my nerves.
"So, what's the plan for today? I will need a ride hom-" I begin.
"Wanna go exploring?" Bryan interrupts. I stand there a little shocked, eyes wide.
"Exploring? Wha-what do you mean? We're in the middle of the woods. And what about everyone else?" my voice trails off as I feel myself begin to ramble. Bryan stands in front of me with a slight smirk on his face. "What?" confused.
"Nothing" he shrugs his shoulder "You seem a little nervous about being alone with me. Although, you didn't seem to mind last night." he draws out the last line insinuating a deeper meaning.
"Hey!" slapping his chest lightly "I, sir, was just being nice in not wanting you to sleep on the cold, hard floor." I state matter-of-factly. As I try to bring my hand back from Bryan's chest, he grabs my wrist and pulls me closer to him. He leans in sweetly and kisses my lips. I feel the tingles rush across my lips. I lean into the kiss as I feel his arms wrap around my waist. He breaks the kiss with a sigh and places another peck on my forehead. We stay in this embrace for a few moments.
"So...." I start.
"So?" he questions with a slight smirk rising on his face. "Wanna go exploring?" he asks with a slight chuckle.
"Suuurre..." I say, eying him suspiciously. What is happening between us? I shake the thought from my mind before I begin to overthink the situation. We are just two people, hanging out, getting to know each other. We also occasionally kiss and shared a bed last night. Okay, stop it Amanda! I chide myself.
"Okay, so there's a spot I want to show you! We just need to get some supplies and we can be on our way." Bryan exclaims excitedly.
"What kind of supplies? How long of a hike is it?"
"It's not that far, but you're gonna love it. I'm just going to grab some water and snacks just in case." He leads us downstairs to the kitchen. I quietly follow him feeling a little awkward after last night, but starting to get excited about this adventure. I still can't shake the weird feeling of being the butt of a vicious prank.
