Amanda's POV:

To say I was surprised would be the understatement of the century! Seeing Bryan down on one knee with a shiny princess cut diamond surrounded by smaller round opals. It is the perfect ring. As he slips it on my finger and our friends and family surround us, I am once again overcome with emotions. I quickly repeat the mantra Cora taught me because the last thing I want to do is cause a downpour.

Eventually, the crowd separates with the girls and my mom admiring the ring and the boys giving Bryan congratulatory pats on the back. I hear the girls immediately jump into wedding ideas, decorations, and themes. I shake my head at all of them.

"Girls, girls, girls...slow down! There's plenty of time for all of the planning and I promise to let you all help me, but uh, you think I could enjoy the engagement first?" I ask earnestly.

"Oh! We're sorry Mandy! It's just so exciting! You're right! We have something else to plan long before the wedding." Whitney gushes. I raise an eyebrow at her. I know it has something to do with my initiation, but no other details. "Nope! You will not get this out of me so don't ask." I laugh at her determination to keep a lid on whatever it is she's planning. She hates that she can't keep a secret. I could push it and find out, but I choose to let her have this one.

I suddenly feel the tingles of my boyf—wait, no, my fiancé, as he wraps his arms around me lovingly. I stare at the ring on my finger.

"Do you like it?" He asks. I turn around in his arms, placing my hands on his chest.

"It's perfect, Bryan." I whisper as I snuggle into his chest.

"I'm glad you like it. I wanted to be sure to include your wolf, so I placed the opals around the diamond. I couldn't take my eyes off it just like when I look at you." I feel my cheeks heat up. "Come on, let's head home."

We turn to leave as most of our friends have shifted and are already running back to the pack house when we come face to face with my mom. I wrap her in a loving hug. I hear her thank Bryan, who is watching our interaction.

She loves our mate as much as we do. Opal's voice echoes in my head.

Agreed. I'm so glad you're okay and still with me, Opal. I love you.

I love you, too, Mandy. We are truly blessed by the Moon Goddess. I nod in agreement. My mom releases her hold on me and we all three stroll back to my Jeep. We drop my mom off at her house and finally, pull into the driveway of the pack house.

We reach our room and Bryan opens the door. I gasp. The room is lit up with candles and there are yellow lilies and daffodils sprinkled throughout the room. I catch a mischievous look on Bryan's face.

"What's all this?"

"What better way to celebrate than a romantic night in? I've got a warm bath and massage planned, then pizza and a movie to relax until we pass out from an overdose of bliss!" I simply laugh. How could I love this man any more than I already do?

After he gets me settled in the bath with bubbles, a glass of wine, and some soothing music, he leaves me to soak in the warmth. Out of curiosity, I begin to focus my energy on the water. Do I still have it? As the water begins to swirl, I sigh in relief. Still got it!

Bryan returns with a fluffy bath robe and an oversized towel. He has also picked out a silky pajama set. Ulterior motive...hhhmmm.

"Babe, I'm gonna run downstairs to get the pizza while you get changed. I'll be right back." he says, heading for the bedroom door.

"Ok baby." I smirk at the chance to have a little say in how tonight goes. I rush out of the bathroom and into my closet for something a little sexier than just the simple silk pajamas he picked out. Once I'm dressed, I wrap the robe around me and take a seat on the bed. Bryan returns with the delicious smelling supreme pizza. As much as I want to eat, I have something else I'm hungry for...my mate.
