"Bhabi why are you so late?", Priyanka said on the staircase as she was leaving.

"Something came up" Anika replied while running upstairs.

Anika quietly sneaked in but was unsuccessful in escaping from Pinki's anger. "Where were you? What took you so long? If I was not there, Priyanka would have missed school. Nikhil had to serve his own breakfast. Don't you always claim to love us? Then why are you busy lazying around early morning?", Pinki scolded.

"One of the neighbors needed some help", Anika excuesed herself.

"Mom, everyday she does everything perfect. Its okay for me to serve my own food one day", Nikhil managed the situation.

Anika had entered the kitchen where Nikhil had followed her. Hugging her from the back, he said, "Tomorrow lets go out."

"Sunday is your only free day. Do you really want to tire yourself outside?" Anika asked concerned.

"We haven't had time for us for almost a month. Come on, tell me where you want to do?"

"There is a fair happening few kilometres away. How about there?"

"Ok. Get ready on time", he said, kissing her on her check and went out to complete some works.

Anika was late to finish her chores that day. It was almost 1 when she completed the laundry and then she dropped a visit at Shivaay's home.

She saw that the door was again open. This time she got in freely and said, "Hello neighbour. You again forgot to close the door."

Shivaay who was in the kitchen came out and saw Anika, "I thought you would come but you are late."

"Are you cooking?" she asked, ignoring his talk.

"Yes. I eat at afternoon like every other human being", he replied sarcastically, while slicing the meat.

Anika saw the shape of the meat he had cut and laughed, "Is this way to cut chicken?"

"Why whats wrong?", he was still absorbed in slicing.

"How can you eat if you cut it like this? It is chicken, not bread to be sliced."

"It all tastes the same" he remains unaffected.

"Oh god. Give it to me", she says taking away his knife and takes it over.

"You are so dominating."

"Me?" Anika questions shocked.

"Yes, you-" he comments.

"Shup up and see" she snaps, "What are you going to make?"

"Noodles"

"Huh? Noodles in lunch?"

"Yes. Now don't lecture me else I will skip lunch from tomorrow."

"Ok fine. Now see, cut it in small small pieces like this", she says, pointing towards the chopping board.

"Now you do", she commands, giving him the knife.

Shivaay does as she did.

"You are a good learner" she appreciates.

Looking around, Anika sees he has made one room gaming room and another one is left. Seeing the bedroom empty, she complains, "You did not decorate the rooms yet."

"Only the bedroom is left" he replies, absorbed in the kitchen.

"Where are the belongings?"

"There are in the box only. The boxes are in the bedroom."

Anika starts decorating the bedroom. Hanging the pictures, putting up the shelf on the wall, joining the table, keeping the copies on them, installed the curtain rods and put up the curtains. While she stood on the chair and was arranging the things on the shelves, she shouted and asked, "Is your flat sound-proof? Otherwise when you practice, you might disturb the neighbours."

"It has been made sound-proof 4 months back only."

The voice came from right behind her. Anika looks down and sees Shivaay was standing just behind her. Shocked, she looses her balance and fall down.

Since Shivaay was right behind her, he managed to catch her. The sudden turn of events had made the two too shocked to say.

"When did you come here?" Anika said, still in his arms.

"Some time back when you were arranging the shelves", Shivaay says, further breaking the ice.

"Oh", Anika smiles and gets on her foot. "Thank you."

"You seemed to break your back today" he replies quickly.

"Ungrateful", she snaps.

The duo snicker at their actions but do not show their smile to each other.

"Your bedroom does not have a bed. Its a no-bed- room", Anika jokes.

"Lame one" he says ignoring her.

"Whatever", she replies, sticking out her tongue.

Anika returns back to her house. Thankfully Pinki was immersed in her tv show and does not realise Anika was late.
