"omg, finally" I throw my bag next to the front door
"you look tired love, long day at school" my abuela rushes over to my side, feeling my forehead
"abuela I'm fine" I smile as I take her hand away from my forehead.
"Lily dear, my friend Maria is sick and she wanted to know if you were still up for the library tour with the kids" my mother holds her phone to her chest, she's probably still on a call with Maria
"sure ma, I'll leave in a bit" I nod, and I walk up the stairs.
Today was so boring. I mean Gabi wasn't feeling well so it was just Oli and me and we didn't have any classes together. I'm so happy its Friday tomorrow, and then I can actually relax.
I go to my wardrobe to find something more, chill to wear. I mean it will probably get pretty cold tonight, so I will just wear a grey sweat-set. I of course had to choose my Aaron warner sweatshirt and just some basic grey sweatpants.
I jog down stairs to see my parents in the living room but my abuela nowhere to be seen
"mama, I'm going to leave, byee love you both" I blow them kiss.
As I turn around my abuela, jumps out with a mask on, I let out a scream not seeing it coming
"ah, I still got it" she laughs
"you're a devil" I shake my head. No joke she acts like she is drunk twenty-four-seven.
"You love me" she gives me a good old peck on the cheek before I head out the door.
I jump into my car, and I start driving. I still have about fifty minutes before the kids would start to get there, so I drive by a small grocery store to go find something I could snack on,
I park into a small parking stop.
Omg no shit Lily, you aint parking in a fucking watermelon.
It's pretty small and there isn't many people here so I quickly go to the snack place. I pick up some gummy bears since it's the best candy ever, and I walk over to the cashier
"Hello, just this" I smile.
He nods "two fifty" I hand him a 5-dollar bill
"keep the change" I smile, I'm just happy I got my gummies. I go back into my car. I put the gummies in the cup holder and I begin driving again.
I put on a random playlist since it's just a mix of Lana and Taylor.
Luckily, there isn't any kids here yet, so I walk inside the library, putting my things down on the counter.
"Hello, I'm Jackson's mom, is this the 'fun reading' if it isn't I'm so lost" a mother walks in with her son Jackson I suppose
"No don't worry it is, I'm lily" I shake her hand. The little boy comes out from hiding behind his mother's leg.
"Well ill pick him up at five" she waves goodbye before she leaves.
"So Jackson what books do you like to read," I smile, and he takes my hand
"I like car book" he says quietly.
"Oh yeah, car books are so cool" his eyes lit up and he runs over to the children's section. He picks up a lightning Macqueen book
"can I read this" his face is filled with excitement
"sure, look there's a really cool sitting place right here" I point over to a small reading corner for kids.
