Meggy toddled around as her Father passed a gift to her older brother. It was Christmas morning, and for this family of three it naturally started with lovable chaos. Meggy's father spun around to call for her and the three year paused her moment of adventure and mischief to see what he wanted.

She toddled her way back to him and plopped down with a giggle that would make any parent smile and die of cuteness. Her father gently picked up a present from under the tree handing it to her for her to unwrap. Before she unwrapped it she examined it trying to feel what it was. It was soft, Meggy concluded.

She unwrapped it to find a teddy bear with a green bow. Meggy let out a noise of simultaneous laughter and approval before saying thank you. Her older brother showed her something he got and Meggy's father felt a surge of pride swell up in his chest at his kids.

Noise could be heard as Meggy and her older brother Nathaniel raced through the house playing with each other. A faint smell of dinner that only grew stronger began to
permeate throughout the air as their father cooked dinner. It smelled like roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes and green beans but most importantly, to his kids who were working up an appetite playing, it smelled delicious.

Later, as the family all sat at the dinner table eating dinner a snowflake necklace was given to each of the kids by their father as a special gift.

After washing up, their father helped Meggy and Nathaniel get their gear on. It was dark outside and their wasn't a cloud in sight, perfect for stargazing. "Look," said Meggy, "It's the Big Dipper!"

"That's right Meggy," Meggy's father said before adding "and the Big Dipper makes the tail end of the bear constellation Ursa Major."

"Really!?" Nathaniel said interrupting his little sister.

"Yes really," their father paused in his speech to chuckle to himself in amusement, "And there's another constellation over there, it's called Orion. Can you see it?"

"I see it! I see it!" Meggy cried in joy at having been able to spot the constellation her father point out.

"I saw it first!" Nathaniel cried out in slight jealousy in order to not be beat or outdone by his little sister.

"You both saw it, it's not a competition." Their father gently reminded the two of them.

As the time passed, clouds started to roll in and Meggy pointed out how one looked like a whale. At a comment Meggy made about a cloud looking dumb like Nathaniel, said brother in question playfully tackled her into the snow as she let out a little shriek of surprise. A little while after that Meggy and Nathaniel's father noticed how all of their noses and cheeks were getting rosy from the cold and brought his kids inside.

After one by one helping Meggy and Nathaniel each get cleaned up and ready for bed he walked to his room put on some Christmas music softly in the background and climbed into bed, sleep beginning to weigh heavy on his eyelids.

He opened his eyes a literal second later as he felt two small bodies climb in next to him.

"What are you two doing?" He asked lightly as his children snuggled up next to him on either side both laying their small heads on his chest.

"You're warm and comfortable and we're sleepy" his six year old son said.

"And you make an excellent pillow " his younger sister mumbled as if that was the most obvious thing in the world before yawning.

"I guess you two can sleep here tonight" he said as if he was actually going to say no to them.

"I love you both, Merry Christmas and goodnight Nat, Megatron." Their father yawned.

"Night, love you too, Merry Christmas" the two kids mumbled in tired unison.

And as the family slept, the music player still softly playing Christmas music in the background the stars shone and sparkled above them, and on this day, all over the world, people of all kinds were celebrating the holidays with their loved ones.

700 words exactly. Merry Christmas you all and happy holidays for my friends who don't celebrate Christmas. Please enjoy this fluff of a Christmas special and I would like to blame WeirdestArrow for giving me children using their parents as a human pillow/body pillow brain rot.
