"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit," Will mummbled as he turned another corner, sprinting over a bridge.
As he reached about the half of the bridge, he felt a sting at the back of his neck. Instinctively he slapped his neck, making it hurt, but at least whatever bit him was dead. Will didn't bother with it any further as he could hear 'Should I stay or should I go?' ringing from his hoodie pocket.
"What?" Will quickly answered the phone as he continued running.
"You have ten seconds," Jane's voice replied from the other side.
"Fuck," Will muttered and tried speeding up his pace.
"No, not to fuck, to get to school," Jane teased with a laugh.
"Shut up, I'm almost there," Will said in annoyance.
"Alright, hurry..." Jane said as the ringing of a bell in the distance cut her off. "And you're officially late," Jane laughed. Will hung up.
He ended up coming two minutes late and got detention, Jane laughed at that at first, but eventually she apologized and promised to text him while he's in detention.
Nothing out of the ordinary happened until then, little did Will know what he'd gotten himself into and by the time he found out it was already too late...
