After the weird talk with Robin and Mike, El knew what she had to do. Protect everyone at all cost, not let anyone get hurt like Robin, Nancy and Will, and everyone else who lost their loved ones because of what she caused by escaping the Hawkins Lab. Little did she know she was gonna do the very oposite by fighting the Reformator in summer. It was the end of the year already, which meant more time El could spend on being Spider-El. But also more time Will would be away from her, which would only deepen the distance between them.

"Ugh, I hate this. I hate Refrigiator and I hate the mutant maker and I hate the Lab people, I hate Papa and I hate myself and.. ugh," El banged her head on the table. She was still wearing her costume due to unexpected visitor at the Spider-base.

"Now, it's not so bad. I mean, you saved lots of people," Nancy said, placing her hand on El's shoulder.

"Both your exes are dead because I escaped the Lab," El reminded her, Nancy couldn't argue with that.

"Simple, really. Just don't date men," Robin said, placing El's fixed web shooter on the table, El looked up.

"Or don't date at all," El said, looking up at Nancy who seemed to have an inner conflict with herself.

"Well, my parents want grandchildren," Nancy said finally.

"Don't they have other two children, I'm sure you not dating men won't suddenly make them unable to have kids," Robin said in a joking manner.

"Okay, that's fair, but have you seen Michael? If he ever finds a girlfriend, or anyone in general, I'd be surprised, he's literally the worst," Nancy let out.

"And your other sister?" Robin asked, Nancy looked at her.

"She's four," Nancy said with a raised brow.

"Well, she won't be four forever," Robin said with a shrug. Suddenly her phone went off with Katy Perry's 'I kissed a girl', Robin picked it up. "Yup?" she asked playfully.

El and Nancy looked at each other and shrugged, it was no secret Robin was a lesbian to either of them.

"Yeah, okay. Keep the situation in your pants," Robin laughed, answering to someone on the other side of the phone. "Yeah, she's here, I'll send her right away," Robin said, less jokingly, covering the phone speaker and turning to El, "Sesame Street and Howllay Road, the Refrigator," Robin said, El nodded standing up, Robin got back to her call.

"Good luck, and beat that homophobic creep!" Nancy called behind El, if she knew how events are gonna turn that day, she'd stay quiet.

Spider-El turned up at the scene, Reformator was holding a couple kids hostage, Mike Wheeler and Max Mayfield included, on a rooftop. Mike was holding Max up, she didn't have her wheelchair and looked scared, El didn't recognize any other of them.

"So, here's the deal, one of you dies, others live. That's what you get for your sins," Reformator said with a laugh. "And the joke is, the choice is yours, that's what you get for being disgusting queers."

"Go fuck yourself," Mike yelled at him, El didn't know he had it in him, she would expect similiar reaction from Max, but she looked shaken. If he did something to Lucas! El felt her blood boiling just at the thought.

"Now why would I do that, Michael?" Reformator asked, Mike's eyes widened.

"How do you know my name?" Mike asked, his voice shaking.

"I know all your queer stupid names," Reformator replied, still he didn't mention anyone else's name.

"Doesn't matter, let us go asshole! She can't stand on her own," Mike yelled with his confidence again, still trying to hold Max up.

"Like I said, one dies, the rest leaves," Reformator said with a snarky laugh.

Mike looked around his companions, he only knew Max from all of them, but there was a boy he passed in the school hallway nearly daily, for all Mike knew he was in a band. "Hey, what's your name?" Mike asked, looking at the boy.

"Um.. Gareth, why?" the boy replied nervously.

"Gareth, I need to you hold her up," Mike said, gesturing to Max. Gareth did as Mike asked him to, Max looked at Mike with eyes wide in realization.

"Michael Wheeler, I hope you're not doing what I think you are," Max said, holding onto Gareth's jacket.

"So, who's gonna try crossing the edge, maybe you'd be lucky to survive, but I don't think god will let you," Reformator said with another snarky laugh.

"Mike, no," Max said, more tears forming in her eyes. El didn't seem to realize what was happening just then.

"Hey, I have nothing to lose anymore. Tell Will I love him for me," Mike said with a smile.

"Will? As in-" Gareth asked, but was cut off.

"I don't have all day, move it!" Reformator said rather annoyed.

"Sorry," Mike gave Max a smile and stepped forward. "I'll go," he said, looking straight into the eyes of Reformator.

"No, not you. Somebody else," Reformator said, his voice wavering.

"You said the choice is ours, I made my choice," Mike said, still glaring at Reformator's eyes.

"If you're really sure your family won't be disappointed," Reformator shrugged.

"They don't give a shit about me, maybe Holly, but she's too young to notice I died anyway," Mike waved him off, stepping closer to the edge of the building.

Max looked over at Gareth hopelessly, as if he had the answers, but Gareth was staring at Mike, not daring to even breath.

"Jump then, let's see if you're lucky," Reformator said with a forced laugh.

Mike took a few more steps, standing just one small movement from the edge, he turned to Max who was violently shaking her head in a 'no' motion, he forced a smile and turned back to the edge, gulping. This was not how he wanted to go, not now, not soon, not ever if possible, but someone had to take one for the team.

"So? Or did you change your mind?" Reformator asked, sign of hope in his voice. Mike gave him a glare, then looked back over the edge, taking the final step...

That was the alarming moment for El, she took a swing, holding Mike up with her mind before shooting another web over to his panicking body in mid air. Soon she was holding him in a side hug type of position while taking a swing over back onto the roof.

"I thought you wouldn't show up," Mike let out a sigh of relief.

"And let you die? Trust me, you won't have it that easy," El replied to him with a smile before turning to look at Reformator. "Now for what I really came here for," she said, going for an attack.

They broke into a fight, El promising herself to not use her powers too much since it made her weaker. Eventually she was pinned to the ground close to the edge, one of her web shooters meters from her, her other hand being held down by Reformator.

"Now, any last words, sweetheart?" Reformator asked, a smirk aparent in his voice.

"I have some: Go fuck yourself!" Mike yelled, shooting a web over at him, but as he wasn't trained with it, he just made Reformator fly over the edge. El got up and with everyone else they took a look over the edge to see Reformator just fall onto the pavement.

"Shit, is he dead?" Gareth asked, nobody answered, watching for any movement from the villian. El and Mike took a turn and started running down the stairs.

"I didn't mean to kill him," Mike breathed out.

"It's okay, I know you didn't," El replied as she threw the outside door open, kinda expecting the body to be gone, but it wasn't. "Let's see who was under the mask," El said, taking off the mask of Reformator, both her and Mike letting out a loud gasp as El dropped the mask.

"Who the heck is that?" a girl asked, still at the roof, looking over everyone.
