"y/n!! wake up, it's snowing!!"

your blankets were hastily pulled off of you with no warning, making you recoil in a wave of cold air. the only person that would have the balls to do this would be grunk, and sure enough, it was him. you could never be mad at him.

"grunk.. five more minutes..." you mumbled, trying to shove your face into your pillow.

at first, it was silent. you thought you were able to rest for a bit longer. but boy you were wrong. grunk burst back into your room alongside tanner and larry.

"Y/N, WAKE UP!!" they all shouted and jumped onto your bed, pulling you down to the end of it. you squealed while struggling to get the boys off of you.

"okay, okay! im up!!" you half-screamed. they all let you go and hopped off of your bed, telling you to get up and ready.

...

"finally, there they are! we've been waiting forever.." isaac looked at you as you walked down the stairs, smiling. the group was sat on the couch, watching something on the tv in front of them.

"oh shut it," you said, "i wasnt up there for that long."

the boys sat on the couch looked at eachother and laughed, nick shaking his head. "you were up there for an hour!! dont pull that shit on us."

you just rolled your eyes, even though you knew he was probably telling the truth. you sat down next to him, leaning back so you were laying down a bit. the morning consisted of talking and joking around, and being excited about the first snowfall of the season. you were in austin, so it didnt snow often there.

to be fair, it was a light snowfall. it just barely covered the ground outside and it probably wouldnt linger for long.

a bit later, you had suggested to go on a walk around town. everyone agreed and went to their rooms to get into some warmer clothes to go outside in.

...

as you all exited the house, everyone was laughing and talking amongst themselves. it warmed your heart to see all your friends together and having fun.

"hey, y/n, lets race to that tree over there!" grunk shouted at you and took off running, you following close behind. you were just about to pass him, but suddenly you were struck with a cold sensation on the back of your head.

you faltered a bit, giving grunk just enough leeway to go even farther from you.

you could hear distant laughter from the boys, but also sounds of concern. "oh my god, are you okay y/n?" you heard isaac say.

you turn around to face the group. "who did it." you ask, staring at them.

they all point to yumi, who has a guilty face. "i didnt mean to hit your head! please dont hurt me" he half yells, becoming nervous.

you just smile and laugh, walking towards them. "its okay... but watch your back.. you never know what i could do" you joke. you would never do anything to any of them, its just a bit.

after that incident, the group continues on the walk. you come across a park about fifteen minutes later.

it was empty, since it was cold and it had just stopped snowing. tanner and larry ran right for the playset, nick and yumi looked around a bit, grunk was taking pics for insta, and isaac stayed with you.

"you sure youre okay, y/n?" he turns to you.

"yeah, it didnt even hurt. just caught me off guard." you laughed.

the two of you walked around a path that wrapped around the area. you saw birds and animals running about, possibly to shelter from the cold. it was peaceful. it was quiet.

if someone had told you a year or two ago that you would be living in texas with your best friends, you wouldve laughed at them. but now you realize that this is where youre meant to be.

this is home.
