Chapter 7 - Ice

Marinette's POV

After hearing of the theft this afternoon I'm assuming Bats probably wants to talk to me about it. I said goodnight to Master then transformed and left through my balcony doors. I arrived at our usual meeting point which was actually kinda close to the shop that was robbed. By the time I waited, I used my powers to zoom into the store so I could keep an eye on it.

A pink ring hovered over my right eye and when I narrowed my eyes, it grew bigger and the store was in sight. Just then, I could hear the Batfam coming not too far away. "Hey Marinette, I think I saw something in the store." I heard Tikki speak in my head. I waited for the Batfam to arrive then told them. They were kinda surprised to see the red ring around my eye but followed behind me.

The ring vanished once we entered and as insurance I called on Wazz and unified him and Tikki. "No way, you could combine your powers and costumes?" Batgirl asked in astonishment. I nodded and looked around. That's when I felt a slight drop in temperature around the area. "Wait..someone's here..-" "That's a warning too late, Ladybug." We all turned around and saw Killer Frost aiming her arm out towards us.

"Buh-Bye to you all!" And with that, she blasted her ice into the store but I quickly retaliated and yelled, "Shelter!" The ice made contact with the shield while flooding the entire inside out the shop. And just like that we were barricaded inside. I removed the shield and the shape of it remained. "Wazz, Tikki, Divide." Damn, the temperature really dropped, it's freezing in here.

"We h-have to find a way out of-f here." Red Robin shivered as he spoke. The ground began to rumble and we could hear faint screams coming from outside. I could use Plagg but...I can't handle the unification of both him and Tikki. Wait..- Roarr... "Hey Roarr,you have enough energy to use your powers?" I asked the kwami. Roarr smirked, "You're talking to the King of the Jungle. I was born ready!"

I grinned, "Hold on boys and girl, stand back." I said. They did exactly that and I readied myself at the wall of ice surrounding us. "Roarr, Tikki, Unify!" My costume changed and I adjusted my panjas bracelet on my hand then the rings on my fingers and clenched my fist. Here goes nothing... "Collision!" And within a few seconds, the wall of ice began to crack as the lines scattered across it. The ice came crashing down which also gave us our exit.

We ran out and almost slipped upon the ice in which she left behind. "Where did all this ice come from? Frost can't output this much to cover this much of the city in that amount of time we were stuck in the shop." I thought. "Do you think a friend of hers helped?" I asked. "I say we investigate and find out." They all touched something on the bottom of their shoes and it shifted from ground type to ice type shoes that made running look a lot easier.

Hmm..two can play this game. "You coming?" Red Hood asked. I nodded while opening my yo-yo and reaching in grabbing a blue coloured macaroon and ate. "You're snacking now, Bug?" Robin questioned with an annoyed face. I smiled, "Seeing as y'all changed gears, I have to as well." Tikki gave me the signal that she was ready for the transformation. "Alright, Stellact Tikki, Spots On!" I glowed for a brief moment and my costume changed.

Jason's POV

We were all in amazement at her costume change. Yes she was still Ladybug themed but she was now in snow boots but not only that. The edge of her hood which was now a long cape had soft cotton to match the topline of her boots and the arm cuffs of her gloves. "Now, let's get moving." She said, running ahead of us. We followed he and the sounds of the screams and found Icicle Junior and Mr. Freeze on the street.

Junior: Well, Well, Well, if it isn't Batman and his little sidekicks. Wait a minute are you the stupid Bug who's been spoiling our plans?

Ice-Bug: Deepens, are you really worth the conversation with you?

Junior: Feisty, I like it. But Freeze and I have strict orders to apprehend you and take out Batman and etc.

Batman: That's not going to happen.

Freeze: We'll see about that.

And just like both villains shot ice at us and we were able to dodge. I dodged another close call to see Killer Frost and Captain Cold who was responsible for that attack. "Four against Seven, seems like a fair fight." Nightwing commented. They charged at us and we fought them off. Killer Frost was keeping Ladybug busy and Freeze was against Bats while the rest of us scattered between Junior and Captain Cold.

Just then Killer Frost and Icicle Junior made their way over to Ladybug and both punched her at the same time into the nearest building. She groaned, falling to the ground on her knees. "Just one tiny punch then you're out of the count. Man you're pathetic." The two made their way up to her while Cold and Freeze stood between us. But Frost then let out a screech only to see that she was kicked in the stomach by Ladybug.

"What's pathetic, is thinking that a little punch could actually take me down, b*tch." Ladybug then swung across the buildings using her yo-yo away from us and the two followed her. We continued battling Cold and Freeze until we hid in one of the buildings on the street to take a break. "What do we do, Bats?" I asked him. He was about to answer when I felt something fall on my helmet.

"What the f*ck was that?" I trembled while asking the others. "Don't worry, it's just me." Wait..Ladybug. "Woah, you're so tiny now." Batgirl commented with a smile. Ladybug landed on the ground in front of us and she was in a different costume and explained. "I have an idea but I'll need your help. I need you guys to gather all the ice villains in one place. Got it?" "What about in front of the shop we gathered in?" Red asked and she nodded.

"I'll bring my two back there in a jiffy." And just like that, she ran back into the ceiling vents then left. "Boys, Batgirl, we have work to do." Bats stated before leading us out the building with the villains following behind us. We made it back to the shop to see Ladybug in yet another costume coming from the opposite direction. When we were almost about to clash we jumped out of the way which led to the ice villains crashing into each other.

While they were still in the midst of getting up, Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around them. Her eyes briefly glowed as she aimed her other yo-yo like weapon at them. Wait, that looked like the Bee she was fused with. "Venom!" And just like that she immobilised all of them in one go. Bats called in the commissioner and the cops to take them away after apprehension.

"You were on fire today as usual Ladybug." Batgirl complimented. "You think so, huh. Hmm, thanks." she smiled. "So, you being tiny and all, that was another power or something?" Tim asked. She nodded. "That was the Mouse and the punch was the Tiger and you've already seen the Bee." "Wait a minute, didn't you say you could only use your powers once? How were you able to use your Bee stinger thingy again?" Robin asked.

She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know." she replied with a straight face. "Speaking of, I need to melt all this ice. You guys can get going." Batman called us to get moving but I turned back to the heroine. "Hey, I have a question." I started and she looked at me. "What is it?" she responded. I sighed, "How many powers can you combine at once?" She raised a brow. "Why do you ask?"

I gripped the back of my neck. "Eh, I don't know. You just looked..tired out, y'know. After using all those powers. Wouldn't there be a consequence like..I don't know...maybe sickness or something?" She fully faced me and placed one hand on her hip, "Why the sudden interest? Do you care about me or maybe catching feelings?" I stuttered out some lame excuse and she giggled. "Don't worry about that, silly and worry about your team. I'll be fine."

And after that, she used yet another transformation and turned into fire then swept across the city. I caught up to the others and we soon returned to the cave. Strangely enough...she reminded me of someone...
