Damian's POV

I have reason to believe that Dupain-Cheng...is Ladybug. It's a bit far fetched but I have my proof. For starters, Todd and Dupain-Cheng have been secretly seeing each other during school hours to 'chat' ever since we left them to do Patrol on their own. Maybe something happened seeing as not long after Todd revealed that she knew our identities. He could be holding out that he knows her identity as well. But if I know, surely Father knows too.

The next set of evidence that I've had is that Dupain-Cheng would never look surprised or perturbed while talking about our recent Patrol findings. Aaaand after all the stupid mystery movies these idiots have had me watching, they have around the same clue as that when finding the culprit or the villain's secret ID. This one I'm not really sure about but I'm still putting it out there.

And last but not least, I think she has superpowers. It's not totally confirmed but I think it's true. Whenever we discuss the Patrol problems with her around she always looks away as if she were speaking to or with someone. But they're just theories so I can't say for certain of course. But if Todd really does know and is keeping it a secret from us, there must be a reason as to why.

I want to confront Dupain-Cheng about it to prove my suspicions but maybe the school building wouldn't be the best idea so I'll just ask her later at the Manor. We all packed into the limo and went back to the Manor with the addition of Brown tagging along too. Just perfect... When we got inside I was hoping to pull her to the side when Todd just grabbed her hand and dragged her upstairs.

I stared muddly at the two. God isn't on my side. Maybe it's because I'm an assassin. Later on, I saw her sitting outside on the porch with a drink in her hand. "Hey." She looked at me with a brow raised. "H-Hey..?" "Are you Ladybug?" She spat out the sip she was about to swallow. "Dupain-Cheng that was both unsanitary and appalling." I comment with a disgusted face.

She then looked at me then back at her glass. "Did Jason tell you?" I shook my head. "Then it's safe to assume the son of Gotham's best detective found out by his own observation." I answered, "Indeed." She took me over to the porch where we had a small dining set and we sat down on the chairs. "Can you not tell anyone else? If they find out for themselves that's fine but I just..don't want anyone else to know right now, k?"

I nodded, "You have my word. Though I don't think it's fair that you know our identities and we don't know yours. But I understand why because of your powers and your guardian. However, I think you should still come clean to it at least to Father or maybe even Pennyworth. In the end, it's your choice Dupain-Cheng." She smiled at me, "Thanks Damian, you're a good friend and a good Robin." "Tt, don't get ahead of yourself."

She giggled and rested her head on my shoulder. "By the way, Dupain-Cheng.." "Hmm?" "What's the deal with you and stupid Todd?" Her head shot up and she looked almost startled, "What are you talking about!? I'm not..- W-We're not..- It's not like that Damian!" I stared at her. Who's she trying to fool? She said it herself, I am the son of Gotham's best detective. "It's fine if you don't want to answer me. I just wanted to see your reaction."

I got up and walked away, waving behind my back. Sigh..how does Todd deal with her? I went back inside to be stopped by Todd standing in the middle of the corridor. "Is there a problem, Todd?" He narrowed his eyes, "What were you and Marinette talking about outside?" I shrugged, "Superheroes..Secret IDs... Relationships." He glared at me when I said that last one. "What, jealous cause I got to her first."

He grit his teeth and stomped up to me. He backed me against the wall and slammed his hand on it. I swiftly took out my knife and aimed it at his neck. "Leave Marinette alone, demon spawn. If you hurt her, you'll pay dearly." He snarled. I felt the assassin in him. It felt like he wanted to kill me. "So you do like her?" I grinned. He didn't answer and walked away. "You're an open book, Todd."

Jason's POV

"So you do like her?"

Tch! That..demon spawn!! He pisses me off so much! I looked back out the window to see Marinette below. She then looked up at me and waved. I nodded and walked away from the glass. I don't like Marinette romantically or anything..it's just..- I'm just overprotective of my friend. Ever since I found her bleeding at the back of the school I couldn't help but feel the urge to keep her safe and prevent that from happening again.

After finding out she was Ladybug the urge to protect her became all the more certain for me. Just the thought of losing her during a Patrol or heated battle makes me shiver. "Jason! Hey, wait up idiot!" I turned around and was surprised to have Marinette jumped on my back then started ruffling my hair. "H-Hey stop!" "Peter, don't ignore me like that again! You hear me!?"

I bent over and she was quick to slide over but I caught her while she was over my shoulder before pulling her over into my arms. "What did I say about the 'Peter' calling?" She looked at me then she face palmed me. "Ow.." "Put me down." she demanded. I placed her down and she looked at me seriously, "What's the deal with you? Huh? Why the sudden attitude?" I looked away replying. "Nothing.."

She sighed then grabbed me by my ears pulling me towards my bedroom. Once we got in, she closed and locked the door behind us and released me. "Talk Todd. I know you want to tell me something but you just don't wanna say it." Sigh..the only time she ever calls me Todd is when she's really serious. "What were you and Damian talking about?" I asked. She raised a brow. "We talked about Ladybug and you. He knows."

My eyes widened. She sighed then sat on the edge of my bed. I sat next to her, "Why were you two talking about me?" She shrugged, "That's classified info." I stared at her. "C'mon you can tell me." She shook her head no. "Tell me." "Nope." "Marinette Dupain-Cheng..-" "I said no. And no is no." She folded her and pouted her lips getting off the bed. Before she could walk away I grabbed her arm and pulled her back towards me.

"Jason..- Wah!" She fell onto the bed and started to laugh hysterically when I began to tickle her. "You either tell me or I won't stop." She refused so I kept tickling her and then she started calling on her kwamis for help but apparently they weren't in the room because they weren't even helping her. I got on top of her as she turned over onto her stomach in an attempt to escape. "Tell me Marinette, you can't keep this up forever."

She tapped my hands so I stopped. "We were *pants* talking about t-the possibility of you like..ing me.." My eyes widened as my cheeks turned a rosy red. "Why would you need to t-talk about that?" I muttered. She grinned, still catching her breath. "So is it true?" she asked, pulling me closer to her by my shirt. "N-No." She chuckled, "Let's hope Nettie is single then."

I gripped her hand that was latched onto my shirt and spoke. "Well I know she is...Nettie." She looked startled by my statement. "You think I'm Nettie? Pfft, Jason you know I can't sing." I chuckled, "I would've believed that if I hadn't found out that you were Ladybug. You and Nettie are the same person. You can't fool me. Just looking at pics of Nettie with that mask on reminds of Ladybug who is, aka, Marinette."

She blinked twice then smirked, "You've gotten smarter, Peter." I rolled my eyes, "What's that supposed to mean?" She giggled, "Nothing really. Well I have to go. Later! Now don't you tell anyone that secret either." I nodded as she got up and walked out the door.
