Marinette's POV
Ugh...my head is beating. I feel like sh*t. I struggled to sit up and leaned my back against the wall behind me only to notice that my wrists were tied. Damnit..what happened to me..? *groans* I looked down to my waist to see a stab wound. F*ck you Joker. I hope Tikki is alright and got back to the Waynes alright along with the other kwamis. I'm really sorry Master.
I slowly closed my eyes while resting my head on the wall. "Hey Bug, wake up." I glared through one eye to see Cat Woman looking at me through the bars of the cell. "What do you want, furrball?" She grit her teeth, "Just letting you know that Bats took the bait and is on his way over to save you. They'll all die because you got yourself kidnapped." Wait..- What!! "What did you villains do to bribe him!?"
She chuckled, "All we did was show him pictures of you. Of course..without your costume." My eyes widened then I sighed, "Just perfect.." I looked behind her through my cell out the window to see that it was almost nightfall. Bats, I hope you have a back-up plan for your back-up plan if something goes wrong. I'm not worth saving because my power would just be passed onto someone else. It's not worth your lives.
Just then there was a huge explosion outside the building and it made everything shake uncontrollably. I fell back and as I looked up I saw Tikki and Plagg fly through the ceiling. "Marinette!!" Tikki exclaimed while hugging my cheek. "Tikki, Plagg, what's happening?" Plagg sighed, "Those Bat-guys came to save you." My eyes widened. "Sh*t..why..?" Cat Woman left and went outside to check out what was happening which left me with some freedom.
"Plagg, Claws Out." I asked Tikki to untie my hands and so she did. I then used Plagg's cataclysm to get out of my cage and leave the basement cells going back up to the higher floors. Then there was that rumbling again. "Plagg, Claws In. Tikki, Spots On." I ran up the stairs before I felt a sharp pain in my side. I leaned against the wall and slid down to sit on one of the steps.
Plagg: Kid..you need to rest. You haven't had time to fully heal yourself.
Tikki: Marinette, Plagg's right...for once. Please, just sit down and take your rest. Please.
Marinette: But, the guys..-
Tikki: They'll be fine. Jason has a plan.
Marinette: Now I know we're doomed..

Jason's POV
Tikki and Plagg left to find Marinette which left us with the hard part of the plan or rather...what the Joker told us to do. Split up and complete his stupid little competition. But that's not what the plan was. We found out from the kwamis that there was another way to enter the building without being seen. Bruce placed the explosives and set them off and it caused the entire construction to shake.
That was our way in. DickeyBird and Bats took to the roof, demon spawn and I went through the back, which left Timmy and Babs to go in through the hole that was created via the explosion. We were in. Demon spawn and I looked around for Marinette that was until we were faced with three of the villains. Catwoman, Bane and Two-Face. Demon spawn drew his sword ready to fight them and they came at us wanting a fight as well.
But me, I wanted this to end. I just wanted to make sure Marinette was okay. Demon spawn fought against Bane which left me with the Cat and Two-Face. "Let's see if I can give you another scratch to make your previous one." she smirked. I rolled my eyes. She swiped at me but I grabbed her hand and threw her into Two-Face who then landed on the ground.
Demon spawn managed to put some distance between him and Bane so I pulled out my smoke bomb and threw them at the ground. The capsules broke and the smoke was released. Demon spawn and I made it out and continued down the corridor. We arrived at the bottom of a flight of stairs for something to come falling down the middle. A scream echoed in the stairwell and I recognised that midnight hair.
"Marinette!!" Both demon spawn and I ran up to her and caught before she could hit the ground. "Mari, are you-" I immediately stopped after seeing the state she was in. "It's been a while, Damian." We both looked up to see Deathstroke at the top of the stairs. Did he push her off!? "Well since that fall didn't incapacitated her thanks to you boys, I'll have to give her a few more cuts and bruises."
He jumped off the stairs and was on his way down the middle. I picked up Marinette and started running away with demon spawn close behind. "Take her and get out of here. I have a score to settle with him." He turned around and ran in the opposite direction and a few seconds later, gunshots were heard. Damnit! "Jason.." I looked down at Mari in my arms. She looked so pale, almost lifeless.
"Don't worry Mari... I'll get you back to the Manor safely." Kaalki appeared and before she could say something, I spoke. "Hey Kaalki, I need you to do something for me." She narrowed her eyes. "What is it?" "I need you to look after demon spawn. Just stay close and help him okay?" She nodded and flew back down the corridor to meet him.
Marinette: Jay..
Jason: Shh.. I know. Stop worrying.
Marinette: I-I'm really sorry... I didn't mean to get you guys into this situation.
Jason: What did I just say? Mari, you have nothing to apologise for. So just hang tight.
She trembled in my arms which just made me more anxious. So far the plan was going accordingly but we don't know the entire structure of the building. I was only following Tikki to where she said she had found another exit out of the building. When we arrived we were met by the Joker himself. "Jason, it's been a while. I believe you have my hostage." I grit my teeth, "Yes. The one I'm going to save and take back home where she belongs."
He raised his hand that held a remote detonator. "In fact, I think she belongs in the grave like you once did. Buh-Bye." He pushed the red button and the ground exploded as we fell through. I held onto Marinette like my life..- No HER life depended on it. And it did. We were quickly approaching the basement ground and I was quick to face my back to it. This is gonna hurt... But then Tikki yelled, "Lucky Charm!" and a huge Ladybug theme trampoline appeared and we landed on it safely. "Thanks Tikki." she nodded as I checked on Marinette.
"Marinette..can you hear me..?" There was no response. "She's unconscious right now, but her wound is healing so she'll be fine hopefully by the time she regains consciousness." Tikki reassured me. I got back up and carefully bounced my way off the trampoline. But I was stopped by the Joker, Harley, Ivy and Catwoman blocking my path. "You're not going anywhere with the girl. Hand her over little bird." Sh*t...
