Perospero didn't attend dinner that night. Everyone asked me where he was or what happened to him, but I had no clue. I was worried sick, knowing what he had told me about turning in his own wanted poster and what Leyroye and Inasa claimed Kairo told him. 'Goodness... He needs to be careful... Or he's going to lose an arm or something.' I thought, slowly eating my food. Big Mom glared at me as I ate. "YN? Do you know what happened to Perospero?" She asked, stopping her feasting for a moment. "No, ma'am... I'm just as confused as all of you are." I said, rubbing the back of my neck. "We wouldn't want to find out you're lying, would we? Or you're trying to get out of the wedding?" Big Mom asked, still glaring at me. Amande cleared her throat. "Mama, if YN wanted to get out of the wedding, wouldn't she have done it sooner? Also, can't you see she's clearly worried for her fiancée? Would a woman like that want to get out of the wedding?" Amande asked, throwing me a thumbs up. I returned it, and I lightly sighed. "I hope he has a good excuse for not being here..." Big Mom spoke, her tone more serious than I had heard before. "Why don't you go look for him, YN? I don't mind you leaving the table to find him." Big Mom said, looking down at me. I nodded. "Thank you, ma'am." I said, stuffing a piece of bread into my mouth before I left.

I ran out into the hallway, looking left and right for Perospero. "Peros... Please tell me you're not dead." I muttered, searching the Chateau. I turned to the door to his room and I threw it open, and there he was, standing on his balcony. "Peros-" "YN." He said coldly. His tone sent a chill down my spine. "Why weren't you at dinner? I heard you got attacked today so if you're injured I can take a look-" He whipped around and held out a gun in his hand, not pointed at me, though. It was as he was offering it to me. I was taken aback. "What do you expect me to do with this?" I asked, terrified of his answer. "Shoot me, YN. Claim my bounty money. Live a good life away from this Charlotte business by yourself. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for you." He said, the expression on his face as serious as can be. I was shocked. There were no words that formed. I had no idea what to say. "I- No I won't do that!" I yelled, slamming a foot on the floor. Perospero gently took my hand and placed the gun in my hand, then he moved my fingers into position and he kneeled down, having the gun point directly at his forehead. "Please YN. I want you to live a happy life." He said, his voice breaking, tears in his eyes. "Why are you doing this?" I asked, feeling myself start to cry. He smiled up at me as the tears in his eyes began to fall. "I'm doing this for you, YN. I leaned about it, why they call you Armour-Bethel's problem child. They blame you for that fire, the one that destroyed most of your home island. How old were you then?" He asked, chuckling a little. "I was TEN!" I choked out, the tears starting to fall down my cheeks, as well. Perospero nodded lovingly. "Ten years old... and they blame you for the great Armour-Bethel fire. After that, they say you were an outcast; you had a bounty on your head not long after what happened on the island occurred. The only people who knew the truth being your mother and father, right?" He asked, his tone soft. I nodded, trying to contain myself. "Yes, you're right." I spoke. Perospero sighed. "Love, I heard from Kairo that all you wanted was a life alone, away from everyone else. That's what you came here to claim my bounty money for; so you could live a life without anyone bringing that horrible incident up again." He spoke, grabbing onto the barrel of the gun and bringing it to his forehead. "So I want you to kill me, YN. I want you to shoot me, then bring me back to that place and get the money. YN, I want you to live a happy life-" "How do you think I'll be happy living a life without you?!" I yelled, speaking straight from my heart. "I won't let you die, and I won't let any harm come to you. What makes you think I'm just going to shoot the love of my life so I can go ignore my past? I'd rather have it replayed every day straight in front of me than have to live a life without you!" I yelled, throwing the gun out of the window. I gently cupped his cheeks, running my fingers gently across his cheeks, tears falling from my eyes. "I can't live without you, Peros." Was all I was able to mutter. He tightly put his arms around me and he rubbed my back, trying to comfort me some. "I'm sorry, YN! The lady told me if I did it-" "Don't apologize. I should be the one apologizing here. I got you into this mess." I said, leaning over and kissing his forehead. This just made him cry harder, though, and for about ten minutes I let him cry into my shoulder, running my fingers through his hair. "Peros, darling, I'm sorry to ruin the moment, but we probably need to go back to dinner..." I said, my voice low. He nodded, wiping away some newly formed tears from his eyes. "Yes love, let's go."
