i don't know how 12 years of school slipped by me and now all of a sudden i'm in college.

18 years felt more like 18 seconds.

i had my friend punz help me move in. he would carry and hold all of the stuff that i simply didn't want to which was majority of my belongings.

he didn't seem to complain though. he sucked it up and listened to me.

i wasn't sure who my roommate was. that was going to be something i would have to figure out in the future or in a couple of moments.

whenever they decided to show up.

i'm not like, super excited to meet them, i can wait a year before i meet them. they're not on my mind that much.

punz put down the final box and smiled. "fucking finally." he mutters in relief. i smiled at him. "thanks for helping me." i said, glad he actually did the things i told him to do.

he smiled at me. "of course man, it was the least i could do." he happily said. i looked around the room and took note of where i would be living for the next 10 months of my life.

i saw my roommate had must have beaten me here and had most of their belongings here already.

i looked carefully and saw something that made me furrow my eyebrows.

it was a hat that looked exactly like dreams cat beanie. the one he wore all of the time.

huh.

i shrugged it off. maybe my roommate had one similar. not that i really cared who it was. it would be nice to have dream as my roommate.

he does stuff for me all them time and he immediately responds to my messages. that shit is like, the greatest thing a person can do.

punz looked at his phone and gasped. "oh shit! sapnap i got to go, i'll see you tomorrow though!" he exclaimed. i chuckled.

"bye punz!" i waved goodbye to him and he waved back before leaving. i heard the door shut and i sat down on the mattress that was meant to be my bed.

i pulled my phone out and decided to give myself a break before i had to unpack everything.

i scrolled aimlessly through twitter before i heard the door abruptly open. i looked up and saw dream. "dream?!" i asked, shocked. i watched his face light up with happiness. "sapnap!" he happily said.

he ran up to me and pulled me into a hug. i wrapped my arms around him and smiled. "dude! what are you doing here?" i asked him.

"i fucking live here now!" he said. i was roommates with my best friend. "YES! now i don't have to make friends with some new person!" i happily exclaimed.

me and dream finally pulled away from our hug and smiled at each other.

"let me help you unpack everything!" dream said. i smiled and we moved to unpack the what looked like a million boxes.

me and dream laid down on my bed. we finally finished unpacking the boxes and putting everything where it needed to go.

dream laid down next to me and turned his head to look at me. i turned my head to look at him as well.

he smiled at me. i simply smiled back.

i'm glad me and dream are the type of friends who don't need to talk at every given moment and can just appreciate each others company.

we can sit in silence but if it's the two of us then it's fine. we just enjoyed being around one another.

dream really is my best friend.

i felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and i pulled it out; breaking the eye contact me and dream managed to hold.

i looked and saw punz had messaged me. he was complaining to me about his roommate and how he hated them.

i chuckled and nudged dreams arm. "look at what punz sent me." i told him. i handed him my phone to read the message. dream started laughing at it.

"i'm not surprised that's his first reaction. give it two weeks and they'll be best friends. mark my words." dream said. i chuckled. "i think it will take a week, personally." i said. dream rolled his eyes.

"no way, i'll even make a bet on it! twenty bucks it takes him two weeks." dream challenged me. he put his hand out and i rolled my eyes. "you're on." i said as i shook his hand.
