Welcomed by a cool smooth surface was your first indication that you'd lost consciousness. Second being a set of electric blue optics staring down expectantly, bright contrast to an aged faceplate.

Details grew more poignant, such as how Alchemist had subtle hints of bronze on his plating. How this whole place was so obviously a ruin, possibly of a bar. Large steel stalls, glasses, grates and tables dotted around indecisively.

You couldn't recall if any of these details were existent on your prior trips, which was scary.

Before you could grow to question this further, a large servo gently eased you up. Two metal digits, far larger than yours, hooking themselves under your arms to sit you up.

"I see you are well,"

"If wellness is being cooked inside out like a Christmas turkey, then sure"

"...I am mistaken. I see you are alive, unless you wish to rebuke that too?" sass dripped from his dermas, returning to his seat where servos clutching a beaten old countertop, groaning as he sat down.

Patting yourself down, glad to be temporarily relieved of your electrified nerves "so the old bot can sass?"

Shaking your head dismissively, dropping it immediately "actually that's a revelation for another time; real quick, before I wake up, can Cybertronians supercharge technology?" Meeting your tutors' thoughtful expression, continuing"annnnnd the whole cable thing. I remember Jolt and Livewire doing it, don't know if everyone could do that soo -"

"I highly doubt it would do anything a naturally born Cybertronian couldn't. By proxy, Jolt and Livewire aren't unique. So in that regard, supercharging items is not unique to you. In my day, it was just an uncommon trait, Engineers generally possessed it"

Regarding him with a raised eyebrow, arm lifting for a personal analysis "is that right?"

Alchemist hummed, a deep gravelly baritone that some would call pleasant while others may claim it to be grating "I've been processing the situation, to conclude one thing. You are only abnormal simply in origin, not design"

Leaning forwards, yet again looming over you, lacking a smile but always acting with good intentions "anything you can do, a Cybertronian could do. I see no reason for the Matrix to bestow some great power on you, as its efforts have thus far only been to arm you. Humans, you see, little [Y/N], are defenceless. Any upgrade would only be beneficial by logic"

Nodding along slowly, turning over this new information. On behalf of your species, you felt insulted over being determined as defenceless, however Alchemist tended to be incredibly rational swearing by logic.

Silence presented itself under the starry sky, to which you and Alchemist quietly regarded each other's company.

"could I theoretically transform into things, then? If I can do anything a Cybertronian can do?"

"It will be 'no' for all full body transformations, I'm afraid. Unless you were willing to become fully cybernetic. Which I am afraid is completely impossible, judging by what those on Earth have access to."

"that sucks" clicking your tongue, casting another look toward your limb that hung there. So many possibilities, limited to one single arm. Could you do a sword arm? That would be neat.

Grinding old joints earnt your attention, finding that Alchemist raised his own arm for emphasis "little blessings can go a long way. You've accepted yours as part of self, now you need only uncover its fullest potential"
