"You'd think they'd all be used to this by now" referring solely to the swarms of civilians. Like frightened rats, sprinting in all directions as Lockdown's ships grew closer towards terra firma "this is, like, the fourth time this has happened"

"Humans are just dumb" your companion offered by means of explanation, door swinging open seconds after parking upon a stone bridge.

Exiting Hound's vehicle mode, shoulder bashing into two others who were too frantic to pay proper attention to their surroundings.

Cade and Shane just up ahead, you caught up in just a few quick strides. Scrutinising the bulky vessel, accessing for any stable out crops you could potentially use to clamber up, concluding that this was a very risky jump and not to even try.

Before too long, a low thrum of engines indicating travel preparation. Cade motioned forwards (at some point he'd taken charge of this group, though you had your own agenda and didn't really subscribe to his leadership) "Bee, C'mon!" neck craned upwards, brave facade almost - almost - slipping.

"This is a bad idea," pumping his gun, Hound squared up "but I'm all 'bout bad ideas!"

In one fluid motion, approaching the railing like a Pommel Horse. Soon as a large shadow blotted out the sun, you pounced forwards to grip Crosshair's swinging arm. Clinging on grimly, curling in as his forceful landing threatened to throw you off!

Grateful that you didn't in fact die, that somehow the egotistical gunslinger found a hint of compassion by not flinging you off like a disgusting insect. Once on flat ground, chucking you off with an aggressive flick!

"What the hell, dude," you wheezed pathetically, splayed out on the metal floor, bruises already developing from your horrible landing "that fucking hurt"

"Grow up - Oi! watch it, Scout!" Cross snipped, abruptly cut off by Bee bashing his shoulder on his way by. Disgruntled by the Scouts behaviour, scowling, all whilst your striped saviour assisted you to your feet.

Bee made a point to accompany you towards an opening your less rambunctious companions discovered. Seemed to be some kind of escape hatch? Closer inspection prompted a theory of this being some kind of airlock... then again you didn't have a degree in rocket science, or engineering, or whatever those scientists at NASA had to create space rockets.

Edging closer to fully admire this cavernous maw, wincing at the sheer drop nobody sane would consider attempting to free climb. I suppose you could always just jump down... might survive it, who knows? You've jumped off a cliff before.

"This is crazy," Shane uttered, sounding breathless already.

"If you wanna cut and run, now is the time. But I'm going to die trying" a particularly stalwart father claimed, eyebrows pinched into a determined glare.

The boyfriend faced his girlfriend's sole parent, irritated beyond words "Hey, I'm not here to help you get your daughter. You're here to help me get my girlfriend"

Wedging yourself into their conversation, preparing to just plummet down and hope for the best "and I'm" - you made sure to emphasise your point - "just saying that you both need to get your shit together. This is, like, bordering on cliche and I really don't have the patience for this anymore"
