Today you've witnessed a man break - unlike Sam who previously delighted in personal anguish and screams of misery, Cade's felt well earned.
Everything that he'd bottled up for god knows how long all came flooding out on this cold, rainy day in a town with cheap housing and far removed from practically everything.
All it had was a half decent college and a vaguely promising arcade. Otherwise, it was incredibly bleak. A perfect place to hide.
Whilst the Yaegers experienced misery, for a strange moment you (for a change) weren't feeling so awful about everything.
Sat inside Bees alt mode acting as a chaperone should things spiral out of hand and extra firepower was required, experiencing a sense of cleanliness that you hadn't since living in N.E.S.T.
All thanks to the local gym! Courtesy of an open window and non-existent security measures.
Nobody seemed to raise an eyebrow at your adrupt appearence, dishevelled as it was. Everyone just kind of left you to it, said nothing. Probably didn't need to exit through the same open window, but always pays to be cautious!
Heck, you even treated yourself to fresh clothes yesterday.
Your new wardrobe was rather durable by design, wanting to properly hide your less than human appendage and various scarrings should your hologram crash again. It gave for a distinctive presence, that's for sure, enforcing an 'intimidating' persona.
Perhaps it was unnecessary to be wearing sunglasses in terms of disguising yourself, but you rather not take such a risk. Bee deliberately tinting his windows certainly helped obscure any outstanding features, though every little contribution matters.
So, there you sat. Wearing sunglasses.
In a car.
During rainfall.
Obviously you were growing increasingly bored as Cade prolonged his goodbyes, automatically reaching for the radio. Finger a hairs length away from its button before pausing, passing a glance towards Bee "you cool having the radio going?"
A scarcely audible hum passed by fleetingly, followed by a click. Coasting through several stations, severely picky over what was going on, till everything fell silent.
"Nothing interesting," he reported non-committedly "just same old... Propaganda"
"Propaganda?"
Instead of answering in a straightforward fashion, Bee tuned in to one of the local channels. Some hosts you couldn't name were discussing the weather, which felt pointless, although very quietly left it going just to fill the void.
Silence wasn't something you were fond of, anyway. It felt far too familiar and scary.
These hosts rambled on about how it was a passing storm, meteorologists cautioning against Tornados; Cade jogged on over to where you'd been parked the conversation had slowly turned into more politically pressing matters. Namely to do with Cybertronians.
"This all aside, I wanted to bring this to the table; Autobots have been recorded battling in Hong Kong - we've all seen the videos at this point, I mean who hasn't? - what do we think we should actually be doing with them?" one presenter jumped on his co hosts, earning a beat of silence "I mean, it's not as if we have some giant prison to hold them in"
Bee subtly increased the volume, unlocking the passengers door for Cade to enter in all his sodden glory. Going as far as chucking his sodden flannel shirt into the back, puffing into his pale hands.
