Fully expecting pandemonium upon arrival; Cross closing in upon your other teammates who took shelter behind some rocks. Transforming, throwimg you out without warning, leaving you to nurse a newly forming bruise as he glowered at his fellow Autobots.
He didn't tell right away. Settling for glaring, throwing his weight around as much as possible.
Night tumbling on, you groggily mending minor damages all without giving a complaint. Resigned to your role as temporary medic who hoped they were doing an adequate job.
Bee ensured the others were fixed before himself. Especially Crosshairs, whose damage was that inch more significant.
Halfway through repairing Bees exterior damage, meticulously teasing out dents, neither of you noticed rising tensions caused by a blunt question to Cross from Drift.
Gunning for the samurai, hand colliding with his sapphire chassis, closing the gap in a vicious snarl; you and Bee were startled, ceasing all operations to watch on with dread.
"You buggers left me to DIE!"
"Correction; you left us at your own accord"
"THAT IS NOT THE SAME!"
Crosshairs instinctively created a fist, fully intent on striking his teammate, eventually pried off by Hound who shoved the angry Mech away barring access to Drift.
"Easy, Cross. Don't cause trouble. 'Sides, Bee did try an' contact you... You just didn't respond, so we s'posed you heard an' just didn't answer like normal" Hound attempted to lay a calming hand upon his juniors shoulder, only to immediately be shrugged off.
Bee had been in alt mode as you tended to a sizeable dent blemishing his exterior, caused by a truck that attempted to mow him off the road. It took a good few minutes to ease it out - apolosing anytime he flinched - finishing with a gentle tap.
With finesse, your most cherished companion took on another form. Leg swinging up, twisting, settling in two legs stood behind you as a steel Titan. Performing an tentative wing twitch, buzzing with approval, stooping down low enough to bestow a little peck atop your head.
You gave a half smile. Cupping his cheek, trying to assure him you weren't as upset as the emerald Transformer. If experience taught you anything, it was there's always going to be unexpected circumstances and couldn't always hold others to blame.
Besides, he'd been non-stop apologising since your arrival. Of course he knew you could defend yourself and had a lick of survival instinct, so had a little less anxiety over leaving you alone.
"trust us... Cross... We would've come and helped... We were ambushed.... Had to get out of there at... We tried contacting you... There was no response so we assumed... You were facing similar conditions... So waited for you instead... Knowing you could protect yourself, and others, if needs be"
Bee explained, applying various hand gestures, displaying a variety of expressions to excentuate his point. Sincerely apologetic, reminiscent of how Optimus would thoroughly explain a situation to avoid misinterpretation.
Crosshairs scoffed, seething with barely contained rage, stepping back from the group waving them off "save it. Not interested. Just... I'm just. Not. Interested" taking on a strong silence, turning recluse.
Whirring, wings lowering, Bee faced the two he managed to escape with. Drift was massaging his shoulder, golden faceplate scrunched in pain. Hound bore a brief look of sympathy, rocking on his pedes a cigar perched between his derma.
