Since the last turn off, Crosshairs had taken the lead. You followed him all the same, an ally is an ally after all.but you were dying to know how and when Bee managed to disappear as though it were nothing.
One moment he'd been up front, carrying precious cargo, however one swerve led him down a tight fit alleyway. Cross hadn't made any notion to follow, nor did you feel comfortable pushing your luck in searching for him. This city was too twisty, you were bound to get discombobulated - bad enough the cramped alleyways Cross was choosing were exceptionally hard to navigate!
What made things concerning was the lack of contact.
Galvatron hadn't been a presence for quite awhile. Streets overrun by Stingers, Lockdown looming overhead and no Prime to call upon created an extremely perilous situation. You've known Bee long enough to be fully aware that, should he slip away, there was a high chance he was going to do something insanely reckless!
He even had two of the humans with him! He should know better by now!
No. No, you had to trust him. You trusted him.
You did.
Burning rubber, in tow alongside Crosshairs, eying the galloping Dinobots who somehow kept an easy pace with you all at top speed. Secretly glad they kept a mindful distance, saving you from possibly getting squashed underfoot. As a matter of fact, they didn't nearly take up as much space as you and you'd chaotic driving did.
By now you'd reached the bridge, jolting as a large silver object crashing right behind you. With a roar, a spurt of flames that flashed menacingly in your wing mirror, immediately catching onto their intentions.
Swerving, transforming on the spot fist impact against solid concrete leaving behind a wimpy looking crater. Your face illuminated by bright screens, pointedly ignoring the sting of pain going down your back after this particularly rough metamorphosis.
Vessel pushing up off the ground, standing tall, fingers twitching in anticipation. There was little you could do against a behemoth such as Lockdown, though these glorified action figures have proven to be flimsy enough for you to take on by the dozen.
You weren't going to act above your station, no sir.
"Alright, we're gonna hold the line?" Cross sprung forwards, pivoting, pedes landing expertly upon the T-Rex's mace "then block the bridge!"
Vessels arm thrusting forwards, supporting a vicious looking cannon echoing designs of your former weapon, visor set dead ahead "we take no prisoners. No bitching. No Survivors - winner takes all" at your back, he who was formerly a Triceratops snorted in agreement.
Counting minutes, to seconds, heart pounding like a jackhammer in your chest. Face stiff, showing no trace of fear, exchanging one wordless look with Crosshairswho tapped the nozzle of his pistol against his helm. You nodded in response, head snapping towards the fast-approaching army.
For the greater good.
Launching your assault, unleashing a battlecry, taking a knee you took as many as you could from afar. Acting as support for the far more barbaric Dinobots, who swore to such sentiments like 'take no prisoners' as personal oaths.
Some point Cross was snatched up by the Pterodactyl, initiating an aerial assault, cackling like a villain from an 80s cartoon. Having almost boundless energy, to a degree you had to admire his ability to find entertainment in the worst of places.
Momentarily distracted, something managed to bowl into you with excessive force. Stumbling backwards towards the rails, only for Triceratops Knight to yank you back before bashing a KSI Transformer.
