Items you will need:
Netherrack:4
Any non burnable block: 6
Any non burnable block: (same kind as before) : 7
Glass panes/blocks: 14
Note: for this to work, make sure that the walls are also of non burnable materials.
1: using a corner of the house, place four Netherrack in a square, leaving a one block gap between one of the two walls in the corner. One side of the square should be touching one of the walls.
2: place the blocks of your choice (non burnable) around the nether rack.
3: now dig a one block width path in the floor all around the fireplace and fill it up with the same type of blocks you used before.
4: add your glass panes on top of the blocks directly surrounding the netherrack. Make sure they are two blocks high. (Stop placing when they reach the opposite wall)
5: before you cap off the fireplace, light the netherrack.
6: place non burnable blocks on top of the glass an the opening over the fire, sealing it off.
7: Enjoy!
