A woman's shriek pierced through the audience. They all turned to witness a strange man with teal skin choking one of the semi finalists to death on one of the jumbotrons. He went limp and fell to the ground with a sickening thud, and his murderer presented a sinster grin to the camera. In seconds the crowd was stampeding toward the exit. The cyborg twins had to carry Bulma, Chi Chi, and Baby Trunks over the crowd and safely out of the stadium. They rushed back inside just in time to witness Krillin locked in a passionate kiss with a female alien onscreen...

She was cupping his face. His arms were at his sides.

And now 18 was flying toward that volcanic wasteland with fire running through her vains. The unyielding rage fueling her almost made it difficult for 17 to keep up with her. She was aware but didn't care.

He kissed another woman.

He used his last wish to remove the bombs from her chest. He went back in time to try and save her from Gero. He accepted her for what she was, made her feel like a real human, and told her he'd marry her.

And then he kissed another woman.

She blinked back the tears stinging her eyes. Perhaps it was her fault for not being wise enough to see this coming. He must have made up the whole waiting til marriage thing on the spot because he truly didn't want to have sex with an android. A woman who didn't have all her human parts. An abomination. The only thing she didn't understand was why he had to string her along for such a long time. Probably just biding his time until a gorgeous and organic woman like the one he was smacking lips with showed up.

18 softly swore as a tear escaped and slid down her cheek. 17 placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. She shook it off and briskly wiped her face. Then they increased their speed tenfold.

They knew they were close when the scenery turned rocky and the temperature skyrocketed. They could make out two figures embracing in the distance and 18 could feel her blood boiling hot enough to burn them both alive. The teal alien turned toward her just as her fist swung out and sent her crashing through some mountains. She whipped toward Krillin, ready to tear into him, but he fell face forward with a thump. She furrowed her brows, flipped him over, and then her blood ran cold. Thin, glowing lines snaked all over his body and his brown eyes had become a sickly pale blue. He wasn't moving. Or breathing.

"Oh, no," she had his head in her lap in seconds. She pressed two fingers deep into his neck, right on the carotid artery, praying for the faintest sign of a heartbeat.

"Please no! Krillin," her voice trembled. She didn't try to stop the tears from spilling this time.

"He's fine," 17 assured from the other side of Krillin's body. 18 looked up at him to find his eyes glowing red; he was reading his vitals.

"But his energy is really low. It's a good thing we got here when we did."

When he finished speaking, some of the lines began disappearing from Krillin's body. She checked his heartbeat and found a faint, slow thumping. She heaved a sigh of relief, then guilt creeped in. Poor Krillin. He wasn't being unfaithful; he was about to die at the hands, no, the lips of that she-devil.

Suddenly, as if on cue, some of the mountains in the distance combusted and the alien landed some feet away from them, seething. She wiped blood from her mouth where 18 punched her. Seeing her reignited the fire behind 18's eyes.

"Think you'll need help?" 17 asked, already on his feet. She didn't look at her brother until she rose and gently placed Krillin in his arms. Then she turned a steely gaze back to the alien.

"Get Krillin somewhere safe," her voice was dangerously low. He nodded and took off, leaving a puff of dust in his wake. The alien watched him leave, cocking her head.
