Kylie can't believe it's been a year since that night.

She's only here on Jason's request, otherwise she'd never come back.

The bus had dropped her off just a twenty second walk from the main gate, but a note from Stacy said the gate was busted and the only way over is to climb.

"Great. Can't get any worse than this...."

Having to climb over a wall was definitely not something Kylie had seen herself having to do.

But there she was, and up the snowy trail she went.

It felt weird being back.

While she doesn't really understand why Jason wanted to have a night here on the anniversary, she knew she'd go anyway.

Her brother was going as well as all their friends for a start, but Crystal was her best friend and she and Jason leaned on each other a lot after that night.

She is brought out of her thoughts by a squirrel appearing.

"Hey, buddy. It's okay...." Kylie crouched down, holding out her hand with some nuts and staying very still.

The squirrel came over and took the offered huts before scurrying off.

Kylie continued her trek up the mountain.

She'd find Stacy at the cable car station, at least she would have company then.

At the station, no sign of Stacy but her backpack left on the bench.

Her phone buzzed but Kylie zipped the bag up with a remark of "Anyone could be out here, moron."

"Like you?" a voice quipped from behind her, making her jump.

"Jesus, Stace! Why?"

Stacy just laughed. "Sorry, but thanks for looking after my bag. Now come on, I found something cool."

"What around here could be considered cool?"

"Come find out."

Kylie followed as Stacy led the way.

......

While she hadn't remembered the way at first, Stacy had made it in the end.

Then, she found a shooting range which she led Kylie to.

"Who puts a shooting range just walking distance from a cable car station?" the redhead asked.

"Jason's dad, apparently," Stacy replied, "since it's their mountain and all. You wanna give it a try?"

"No thanks, not my thing."

"More bullets for me then," she picked up the rifle.

Stacy shot a bottle, a sack hanging from a tree and a plank of wood before Kylie basically dragged her back to the station.

Since Stacy had the key to the station, she unlocked it and let them in.

Then, just waiting for the car to come back down.

"How are you holding up?" Stacy asked.

Kylie shrugged. "Okay, I guess. I nearly didn't come but Jason asked, so..."

"Yeah, same here. It's weird to be back."

"Glad you agree."

The cable car finally arrived.

Kylie and Stacy both got on and up they went.

"This won't end well, just with how things ended with the Kenny and Henrietta thing," Kylie said.
