Chapter 5 - Dread/Prey

Kenny has made it into the Sanatorium, currently unable to get properly into it but he finds an alternate way in.

If he wants into the chapel, where the Stranger went with his two wolves, he needs to look around more and find a key card for it.

On his way into Admin, Kenny finds Administration Notes.

As he heads in, he breaks open a busted safe and finds a total of 30 clocking-in cards for the mines.

There's also an old newspaper mentioning an incident with a reporter.

Going further in, Kenny finds a room with a machete.

He takes it and explores further, also finding a telegram about how reporters shouldn't he let near the recovered miners.

'Something's been covered up,' he thinks to himself.

Kenny ends up in the Morgue, trying his luck and hoping one of them has a key card in it.

He gets a card the third time, as well as extremely grossed out.

The first two attempts only had a name tag and a death certificate, neither of which he paid much attention to.

(Although glancing over the death certificate, he was freaked out by the details)

Using the key card, Kenny finally gets into the chapel.

But on his way up the stairs, he is chased by one of the wolves before barely managing to shut it out.

Kenny ends up back where he started, but this time he can go after the guy.

The second wolf is there when he goes in.

"Whoa! Okay, easy. Easy, boy..."

He manages to get the wolf to calm down and even manages to pet it.

While looking around the room, he finds a bone and a gun.

Kenny pockets the gun for himself and gives the wolf the bone.

"There ya go, buddy. Good boy."

He finds a jacket and puts it on, then finding a way out and shooting the lock off to get through.

Kenny picks up a photo of the mine rescue with the caption on the frame saying 12 survivors were rescued.

"What? But...that's weird, there was 30 of them down there. What the hell happened?"

Putting it aside for the time being, he tries to make his way through another locked gate.

Unfortunately, he causes a fire which leads to an explosion.

He does manage to get away in time, at least.

Kyle and Henrietta make their way down to the cable car station.

Neither of them seem too keen to talk about what Stacy and Erica had told them.

If Jason was actually dead, that meant a killer was on the mountain and possibly nearby too.

And even if Jason wasn't dead, too much weird shit had happened for them to not want to get help.

The cable car station door is locked, with an axe embedded into the wall.

Kyle takes the weapon, feeling safer with it.

Henrietta sees the window is open just enough for her to be able to get in.

"It's okay, I've got it," Kyle says, not wanting to accidentally put her in danger on the off chance someone is inside.

He breaks down the door with the axe and the two get in.
