Jason had been waiting for the group to arrive, briefly having a talk with Kylie and Stacy before they'd go inside.
"Thanks for coming up here, it means a lot," he said.
"Well, you asked. Made it very clear it was important to you so we're here," Kylie replied.
"Yeah, and we're also freezing, so can we get inside?" Stacy asked.
Jason laughed. "Sure, come on."
But this was a lodge high up in a mountain that no one had been to for a year.
It wasn't surprising that the lock was frozen shut.
"Damn, well we need another way to get in," Jason said.
"I have an idea on how we could open it," Stacy piped up.
"Does it involve breaking in?" Kylie asked.
"Unless we take an axe to the door, yes."
Jason shrugged. "Alright, let's go."
At the bottom of the wooden steps, Erica was sitting.
"Hi, Stacy," she smiled.
"Hey, Erica. You doing okay?"
"Yeah, just cold. Are we getting in soon?"
"I've got a plan."
She laughed. "Good luck with that."
Jason and Stacy headed to the side of the lodge.
"When are you and Erica going to confess to each other? It's so obvious she likes you!" he pushed.
She rolled her eyes. "Okay, if we're going to talk relationships, can't it at least be Kenny and Marjorine?"
"Old news! You and Erica are much more interesting!"
"So is heat, and being inside! Now let's go!"
Jason sighed dramatically. "Okay, okay. You lead the way, boss."
Stacy led him to underneath a window where they could push the box under to be able to climb in.
Jason whistled. "Wow, smart enough to know how to break in but not on how to talk to a girl?"
Instead of throttling him, she started pushing the box.
He grabbed the other side and pulled.
Once the box was under the window, Stacy climbed up and got the window open.
She got in but ended up falling to the floor.
"I'm okay," she groaned.
Jason winced in sympathy.
"Should've paid more attention in climbing class," Stacy grumbled as she got back up on her feet.
".....do you mean gym class? Who calls it that?" Jason laughed.
"Shut up," she laughed too.
"Here, take this," he tossed her a lighter, "and find my spray-on deodorant upstairs. You can flamethrower the door lock."
"Is this something you've done before?" Stacy asked.
"More than you think," Jason grinned.
She saluted and made her way through the lodge.
It was weird to be back in here.
It had some very negative memories attached.
Stacy had passed out in the kitchen that night after drinks with Jason.
