Chapter 2

Night falls and the turtles and the trio sat on a rooftop.

Raph talks with Chalice.

Leo is with Mugman.

Donnie and Mikey are with Cuphead.

Raph: So, let me get this straight. You grew up in a orphanage and you escaped at a young age and you were on your own until you met those two cups over there?

Chalice: Yep.

Raph: And you're dead?

Chalice: Yeah. I'm a ghost.

Chalice turns to her ghost form.

Raph: Whoa....

Chalice: Are you not surprised?

Raph: Nah, we've encountered alot of weird stuff and this is not it.

Raph thinks.

Raph: So, if you're dead, why are you alive at the same time?

Chalice turns to her normal form and sat down next to the big turtle.

Chalice: Well....I was in the road and I got hit by a street car.....

With Leo and Mugman....

Leo: So, your brother over there lost a soul-ball game and he owed his soul?

Mugman: Yep, but his soul debt expired. He doesn't owe his soul anymore.....he doesn't really think about the consequences of his actions.

Leo: Hey, I get it. I used to be like that, too.....

Mugman: Wait, really?

Leo: Yeah.....

Mugman: Well, whatever you're going through, I'm glad you're still getting over it....

Leo: Thanks....

Mugman: No problem.....

With Donnie, Mikey, and Cuphead.....

Mikey: So, you won a Rock, Paper, Scissors game against a devil?

Cuphead: Yeah. Multiple times. I didn't overthink it.....and I won....he wanted to keep going but Mugman stopped us.

Mikey: What was the deal you had to make against him?

Cuphead: Well, my friend, Chalice, over there, had a debt. So, I made a deal with Devil that if I win, her debt will be cleared.

Mikey: And what happened if you lost?

Cuphead: The Devil would have my soul and my brother's soul.

Mikey: What about Chalice?

Cuphead: She would've been turned to dust. She could've died.

Mikey: Oh, my.....

Cuphead: Indeed. But now, we are no longer in debt.

Mikey: That's good!

Cuphead: It's been over two months since we've seen the Devil, so we've never saw him again.

Mikey: That's also good!

Donnie: That's alot of info.

Cuphead: Don't tell me you wrote it all down.

Donnie: I did.

Cuphead: Oh, wow.

Donnie: According to my notes, you came from a place called Inkwell Isles.

Cuphead: Yep.

Later, all seven of them ended up on top of apartments.

Cuphead: Where are we?

Raph: You three are gonna met our human friend.

Cuphead: You have a human friend?

Leo: Yep! You're gonna love her.

Mikey knocks on the door and a figure stranded in the doorway.

???: Oh, hello, guys! What brings you here?

Raph: Hey, April. We were in the city and found.....

The trio steps out from behind Raph.

Cuphead: Um....hello....

April's shocked.

April: Talking objects? That's new.

Cuphead: Who are you anyway?

April: I'm April 'O Neil. And you are?

Mugman steps forward.

Mugman: I apologize for my brother's behavior.

April: Oh! No worries!

Mugman: Anyway....I'm Mugman.....and the one who you just talked to you a minute ago is my older brother, Cuphead.

April looks at Chalice.

April: And who are you?

Chalice: My name's Chalice. Nice to meet you, April.

April: Nice to meet you, too!

Later, all of them talked.

April: So, you came from a place called Inkwell Isles?

Mugman: Yeah.....

April: How did you end up here in the first place anyway?

Chalice: Well, we we're just enjoying our day, relaxing, without the Devil and all but-

April: Wait, wait, wait....you guys encountered a Devil?

Mugman: Yeah. And we defeated him. Well, my brother did.

Cuphead: No, Mugs. We did it together.

Chalice: Yeah.

Mugman: Anyway, as I was saying.....we were relaxing until Cuphead saw a mysterious portal leading to your world.....

Cuphead: My fault we're stuck here.

Mugman: Yep. Anyway, Cuphead found the portal and decided to check it out. Me and Chalice decided to follow him.

Chalice: And when we got through the portal, we ended up here.

Cuphead: Yeah....

April: That's quite the story you guys have. But how are you gonna get back to your world?

Mugman: I don't know....

Chalice: I guess we're stuck here for a while.

Cuphead: Yep.

Then, Cuphead looks at the four turtles.

Cuphead: So....what happened to you guys? It looks like you got into a big fight or something.

Mugman Cuphead!

Raph: No, he's not wrong.....we did get in a big fight....

Leo: A huge fight, I might add.

Cuphead: A huge fight with who?

Leo: It's time we tell you.....
