Chapter 12

The next day, the view shows the two group hanging out with each other. Mugman talks to Cuphead in another room.

Cuphead: You ready to apologize to Donnie?

Mugman: Yeah. I promised him that I'll forgive him eventually and I'll think about it. I accepted his apology but I didn't forgive him yet.

Cuphead: I know it's hard, Mugs. But I know you don't hold grudges forever.

Mugman: You're right. It's time.

Mugman walks out of the other room and saw Raph walking past him.

Mugman: Oh! Hey, Raph! Have you seen Donnie? I need to talk to him.

Raph: He's in his lab, like usual.

Mugman: Okay. Thanks.

Mugman runs off. Raph looks at Cuphead.

Raph: What is he up to?

Cuphead: It's time that Mugman forgives Donnie. You know what happened a couple days ago.

Raph: Oh. Right.

In his lab, Donnie remains passed out on his work bench. Mugman knocks.

Mugman: Donnie?

Donnie opens his eyes.

Donnie: (yawns) Hello? Who's there?

Then, Donnie turns around to find Mugman in his doorway.

Donnie: Oh. It's only you, Mugman. What brings you here?

Mugman: Can I talk to you for a minute?

Donnie: Um.....sure.

Mugman pulls up a chair and sat down next to Donnie.

Mugman: Remember what happened a couple days ago?

Donnie: Um.....yeah. Why?

Mugman:......I forgive you.

Donnie: W-what....

Mugman: I had some time to think and I decided it's time to finally forgive you.

Donnie: I-

Mugman: I know your words hurted me and brought back a bad part of my past, but you guys didn't know. It's not your fault. It's mine for not telling you all about it.

Mikey walks in the lab.

Mikey: Yeah. We all make mistakes sometimes.

Donnie: Oh! Hey, Mikey. What brings you here?

Mikey: I overheard your conversation. I want to help.

Mugman: With what?

Mikey: Your stage fright. But this time, we'll do it the right way.

Mugman: I.....thanks, Mikey.

Mikey: No need to thank me yet. Forget about the past. Let's focus on the present.

Over the next few days, Mikey helped Mugman get over his stage fright with some training. Mugman practices in front of Mikey first before going in front of a whole audience.

Mugman: I think I'm ready.

Mikey: Are you sure? We could wait one more day if you-

Mugman: No, I'm ready to do this. I just need to focus on the present. Not the past. I'm 12 now. Not some 5-year old who cowards on stage.

Mikey: I guess you're ready.

Mugman: Let's do this.

Sorry, things have been pretty stressful lately and I haven't been updating on this story much. I guess I've been losing motivation and not writing alot. Last month was pretty stressful and so far, this month isn't really that bad. It's February now. My mom's birthday was yesterday, Valentine's Day is in 5 days, and I have something going on this weekend.
