One month later.....

Leo's pov

It's been a month since Cuphead's death and we still haven't found out who is responsible yet. Mugman acted more differently since Cuphead's passing.....right now, we are taking a break because we all need it.....but Mugman wants to find the person responsible for Cuphead's death. He won't rest. Raph was trying to get him to relax but he didn't want to. Mugman and Chalice has been stuck with us for almost two months now.....

Third person pov

Mugman:.......

Raph: Mugs? You okay, bud?

Tears formed in the little mug's eyes and he sat down on the couch. He looked at an old photo of him and Cuphead.

Raph: Oh...

Mikey walked in the living room.

Mikey: Hey, guys! We're gonna go out on patrol again! Want to come with?

Raph looks at Mugman and back at Mikey.

Raph: Thanks, Mikey, but you and the others go on ahead. I'll stay with Mugman.

Mikey: Oh....okay. I understand.

Mikey walks out of the living room.

Later, as the others left for patrol, Mugman sat on the couch in silence. Raph sat next to him.

Raph: You want to talk? You don't have to if you don't want to.

Mugman:.......

Raph: I understand.....

Mugman: I.....

Tears formed in his eyes.

Mugman: I miss my brother.....

Raph: We all do.....

Mugman: I'm mad that he died. I was so upset that he died. I....I'm.....

Mugman covers his face with his arm and turns away.

Mugman: I was so angry that he died....

Raph puts a gentle hand on his friend's shoulder.

Raph: Hey....I get it....I was angry, too....your brother had so much to live for.....and it got taken away from him....

Mugman:.......

Raph: Hey, look at me, okay?

Mugman faces the big turtle with tears blurring his vision.

Raph: I know you're mad that someone taken your brother away from you....but he'll always be with you....just not physically.....

Mugman: (sniffle)

Raph gently hugs his friend.

Raph: He'll always be with you....and I promise I'll find the person who is responsible for your brother's death.

Mugman looks up at him.

Mugman: Y'know I'm gonna hold you to that, right?

Both of them laugh a little.

Mugman: Hey, Raph?

Raph: Yeah?

Mugman: Thanks.

Raph: No problem.

Mugman:.....Raph.....

Raph: Yeah?

Mugman: Can you promise me something?
