Chapter 44

Cam POV a few years later

I watched as a pregnant Mari cooked. She was pregnant with twins again.

I blocked out the sound of our 7 kids and Apollo arguing and thought back to the day I asked her to marry me.

Flashback February 10th 2027

I was nervous hell right now me and Mari were doing another show together. I finally released the song that I was talking about doing.

It's called Best I ever had I released it yesterday. I originally was gon sing it at a show then release but then I thought why not release it the day before.

I finally figured what I was going to use the song for. "You're on in ten." My manager said distracting me from my thoughts. I nodded and took a deep breath while clutching the small box in my hand.

"Hey u okay?" Mari asked me. "Y-yeah just a lil nervous." "Why? I told you to not care about what people thought of you. I love your feminine and masculine side and so does your family." She said giving me a small smile.

Somehow someway a year ago Mari convinced me to wear a dress to one of our dates while her mom watched the kids.

I wore one and I liked it. I missed the feeling of wearing it and how I'd feel more like a girl than a boy.

Others not so much. I got a lot of hate for it and people telling me I look ugly in a dress and how I shouldn't wear one. Just a lot of negative comments that lowered my self confidence.

But Mari encouraged me to be myself and wear whatever I want and that I need to feel comfortable. I'm a female and not a male. She basically lectured me and was just there for me.

"Why? What is there to be nervous about?" I shrugged my shoulders and sheepishly smiled. She smiled back. "Did you invite my whole family? I noticed them in the front row."

"Yeah, mine is here too." I said pulling her to me. "Why?" "That's for me to know and for you to find out." I said winking at her. She wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Mm alright. I love surprises anyway." "Who said it was a surprise?" I asked raising my eyebrow. "Me." I tsked and shook my head.

I lowered my head and kissed Amari. I heard our cue and pulled back then pecked her lips. "Well now's our time to shine." I said and backed away.

"They got bad timing." I heard her mumble and walk towards the opening.

"Tell me how you want it yeah, call me and I'm on my way, tell me that you need me yeah, I'll give it to you night and day, I'm talking bout Monday, Tuesday~" mari came out singing with me behind her.

The crowd was singing with her as they recognized the melody.

We've been out here for 3 hours now we got 1 left. It was currently 11:00 at night and we started at 8:00.

"Alright so Mari your not on this song at all but I would like for you to be. But that's after tonight or whenever youw anna do it youon have to but," I said signaling DJ.

"You got too. I'm real nervous I ain't gon lie but lemme stop talking before I spill the tea." I said chuckling.

"Whatchu boutta do papi?" Mari asked walking up to me. I made a zipping motion across my lips as the beat started playing. She got into the habit of calling me 'papi' or 'daddy' sometimes she'll call me 'mami' too and I'll just have to walk away fr.
