Chapter 9: Boyfriend vs Bestie (place your bets!)

The next day Dean had Ash and Benny over early. It'd been a few days since they'd last hung out so Dean invited them over to study for a bit and watch movies. 

They all took school seriously and aside from doing it with Castiel Dean enjoyed studying with them too, even if they goofed off sometimes. And goofing off usually meant drinking or getting high but Dean had been trying to cool it on the recreational drug use.

"Hey guy is it cool if Cas comes over? Bare in mind he's already on his way."

"Oh hell yeah, more one one time with you boytoy."

Dean rolled his eyes, "Just be nice." Benny nodded, "Best behavior I promise."

Ash laughed, "He's definitely lying but don't worry I already love Cassie."

Dean patted him on the shoulder. "Thanks Ash- at least one of you cares about my relationship." 

"You mean the relationship that you hid from us for three years?"

"Ben."

"Calm down cher, I'm just needling you." Benny stood from the couch and rounded the sofa muttering something about 'taking a leak'.

Ash turned to his friend. "Don't worry Dean, he'll come around to Castiel sooner or later." 

"Yeah, thanks Ash." Then there was a knock on the door. "Enter!" Ash sung and Dean pushed his head, standing up to open the door himself. "Don't invite a murderer into my house doofus."

"Hello Dean." Cas  entered the house and Dean surprised him by wrapping an arm around his back and bringing their lips together until eventually they were making out like nobody else was in the room.

Dean finally pulled away. "Hey," He smiled, "I'm here too y'know?" Ash waved from the couch and Cas at least had the decency to look embarrassed.

Dean rolled his eyes, "We can go upstairs if you want.. do much more fun things." He kissed Cas' neck. "Oh keep it in your pants cher." Benny said from behind them as he came back from the washroom.

Castiel paused slightly at Benny's use of the name for Dean, he knew what Cher meant- he was fluent in French. He stepped back from Dean to look at Benny. "Cher?"

"What you not a fan of my nickname Novak?"

"Not when you are referring to my boyfriend no-"

Dean internally groaned, this was the last thing he wanted to happen. "Babe, it's just a nickname."

"You're taking his side?"

"Ooh your boy's jealous cher."

"Benny, knock it off." He looked at the two, "You guys are not seriously fighting over me right now."

Ash cleared his throat as he stood and placed his hands on Castiel's shoulders "Y'know I was just about to order some pizzas but how about I take blue eyes here and grab some burgers- Cassie's favorite." Not really waiting for a response he tugged at Castiel's arm and the boy gave Dean a look before he just rolled his eyes following Ash out the door.

"Hey, don't sweat it Cas." Ash told him as they left the house, sensing that Cas was clearly annoyed. "I'm just supposed to get used to my boyfriend's bestfriend flirting with him in front of me?" He said, "Dean clearly doesn't care."

"That's how Benny and Dean are, Benny's only doing it to get under your skin because he's protective of Dean."

"Because he doesn't like me." Castiel stated like it was obvious. "That doesn't matter." He shook his head. "They slept together Ash, I can't.." He said "I told Dean it was okay but I was wrong.. they are always together."
