In the morning Dean woke up and found himself alone in bed, he frowned as he pushed himself up, checking the time on his phone. It was ten- shit he'd overslept, Cas probably let him sleep in because of their talk.

Dean sighed, he headed downstairs to see if Sam had already fixed himself some food when he started to smell pancakes, and bacon.

He was barley down the stairs when he saw Sam and Castiel in the kitchen discussing something. He entered, still a bit groggy "Morning." He interrupted. He kissed Cas on the cheek, observing the table of food and Sam's books "What have you two been up to?"

"Cas said you weren't feeling too well so we made breakfast." Sam started to explain, "He's helping me with my debate club topic." He said, ever the excited nerd. "We're debating on Achilles' relationship with his 'bestfriend' Patroclus." Sam told him "Who I would just like to say was totally in love with him."

Dean frowned, pouring himself orange juice, "Debate? I thought freshmen couldn't take debate?"

"My teacher liked my writing so much she recommended me."

"Oh, congratulations then Sammy- ow!" Dean yelped when Cas swatted his hand away from trying to grab a pancake, "Get a plate like a civilized human being Dean."

Dean massaged the area on his hand with a pout, "Fine.. jeez."

"Hey Cas, you think I could site the book Song of Achilles in my argument?" Sam asked, taking down more notes. Castiel shrugged, "Well I suppose you can but not much as it isn't entirely a work of non-fiction."

Sam nodded and wrote it down in his book. Dean watched the two talk back and forth for a bit, Castiel had always been close with Sam, even before they'd started dating all those years ago. He'd tutor Sam whenever Dean couldn't and was mostly to thank for Sam's good grades and love of reading.

He was so happy that the two got along well. "Sammy, I got some news for you."

Sam looked up, "Oh yeah?"

"Dad called, he's coming back."

Sam's mood immediately deflated like a balloon being suddenly popped "What? Why?"

"He wouldn't say."

"Wait is that why you got pissy and yelled at me yesterday?"

Dean nodded feeling guilty, "Yeah Sammy that's why I yelled.. sorry."

"I get it Dean, it's fine. Dad coming back isn't exactly good news." Dean nodded, "Which means-"

"Stay in my room and don't come out." He paused, "Unless I get hungry.."

Dean ruffled his hair, "Exactly kiddo." Sam pushed him away, "Stop calling me that I'm fourteen!"

"So you're a kid!"

"Cas?"

Castiel looked between the two brothers as he swallowed his orange juice, "Oh.. I do not think I should be getting in the middle of this."

Dean smirked at Sam, "That's because he knows I'm right." Sam rolled his eyes still trying to fix his hair. "He's just biased because you two bone."

Dean laughed out loud whilst Cas went pink. "That isn't true Sam." But Dean was shaking his head, "Oh it totally is."

Sam looked at them "Can I ask you guys a question?"

"Sure shoot."

"It's kind of personal.." Sam cleared his throat. "I need relationship advice."

"This isn't you asking for the sex talk right?- because I thought you had the internet."

Sam shook his head quickly and his cheeks heated up "No, I do have the internet, trust me I don't need the talk."
