Chapter 6

"Still ignoring the Professor?" Fred asked me as we walked out of Dark Arts and I nodded my head. Two days had passed since finding out that Professor Lupin was my Godfather.

"If he doesn't want to tell me the truth, then what's the point of speaking to him?" I asked him.

"Maybe it's for a good reason?" Fred suggested, "I mean, it's been what? Almost fifteen years since you were born? Things could have changed after so many years and that he's not the man he used to be. Maybe he's apart of the wizarding mafia?"

"Wizarding mafia? Is that even a thing?" I asked him. Fred cracked a smile and laughed a little.

"I don't think so, but I mean it's possible. He could have changed or something?" Fred told me.

"What ever his reason is, I don't care." I told him, "I-I just want to be cared for and loved... Back at my aunt and uncle's... it's the opposite. They don't care for me and they hate me."

"Allie... You have me and George. We love and care for you. Hell, if Mum could, she would even take you in as her own." Fred told me, "You're not alone, you have us Weasleys."

I smiled hearing that. At least I had the Weasley family who cared for me. I was jealous of Fred and George a bit when I had first met them. Big loving family. I would get upset a little when they spoke about their mother and siblings. I didn't really get upset at them or showed it much. I was only upset with what had happened with my family, how things had turned out.

I guess life has a way of keep doing that even now. So close to family, and yet so far away. Like it's taunting me. If only Professor Lupin would allow me to stay with him. How things would be different...

Three more days had passed with not much excitement going on. The twins and I pranked a few students here and there, had some fun hanging by the Black Lake, and did some school work. Well I did the work and the twins just copied. I still ignored Professor Lupin when he tried speaking to me, except in class.

A new rumor about Harry was being spread around the school. Apparently he got a grim in his tea cup during Divination. They say its means he's going to die soon.

"Allie wakey wakey" Angie shouted.

I got up letting out a groan, and grabbed my uniform that I had folded onto my chest by my bed. After getting ready for the day, I walked down to the common room and waited for Fred and George. After ten minutes and they still hadn't came down. They must be sleeping in.

I noticed Percy walking down the boy's staircase. I stood up from the couch and walked over to him.

"Hey Percy" I said.

"Hello Allison" Percy said smiling.

"Do you know if Fred and George are up yet?" I asked him.

"No, but knowing them they probably stayed up all night planning something" Percy said.

"That's true" I said. Percy began to walk away, but stopped and turned around.

"Allison, in a week there's going to be a Hogsmeade trip. Would you um like to go with me?" Percy asked.

I stared at him for a moment. Did I really want to go to Hogsmeade with Percy? Why would he even ask me? I usually hang out with George and Fred during our trips. Especially the first one, but I also  didn't want to hurt Percy feelings. Perhaps I could hanging out with him for a tiny bit.

"Sure" I told him, "But for only a bit."

"R-really!?" Percy asked with a shocked tone to his voice that matches the look on his face.
