Chapter 13 - Turnaround

?: "Why do you care so much?"

Roxy: "He's special."

?: "Special in the head, maybe."

Roxy: "No. To me. He's special."

?: "Why?"

Roxy: "There's something different about him. He's understood me like no one else. He has treated me like no one else has."

?: "Sexually abused, I expect."

Roxy: "No, he would never."

?: "You sure."

Roxy: "Absolutely. He isn't like that. Sex wasn't something he was even remotely interested in."

?: "Money?"

Roxy: "No."

?: "Fame?"

Roxy: "N-Shut up. I don't have time for this."

Roxanne sniffed the air for a second, then ran off into the sun. It was setting, the day almost over. No time to lose."

'Him': "I'll be home soon. I just need to find where the airport is and I'll be good to go."

?: "The airport is that waa-aait. You're the guy people are after, aren't you?"

'Him': "Some are. Some aren't. Thank you for your help, though."

?: "You're... welcome?"

'Him': "I haven't seen my family for a year. Though I hope to change that soon."

?: "You don't live here?"

'Him': "No. I'm from England."

?: "What is it like there?"

'Him': "Cold. Damp. It's very different to here, but it has its upsides."

?: "Hmm. Well, I'd better let you go."

'Him': "See ya."

'Him': "When is the next flight to England?

?: "In fifteen minutes. You'll make it if you hurry."

'Him': "Right, thank you."

?: "Terminal seven!"

'Him': "Got it!"

He just got there before the gates closed. Making his way to a window seat. Roxanne charged into the airport.

Roxy: "Has 'he' been here?!"

?: "Y-yes, he was just here a few minutes ago."

Roxy: "Plane to England?!"

?: "That's right. Terminal seven. The plane is set to leave in a few minutes. You're going to need to be quick to get there before it goes."

Roxy: "Got it!"

She sped off again, barrelling through the place. Reaching the gate, she found that it was closed. She felt pain in her heart. As she looked out of the window to see a plane on the runway. Scanning all the windows, she saw him. He spotted her and waved with a sad expression on his face as the plane began to pick up speed, taking off and vanishing into the darkness.

Freddy: "I've told you before not to run off like that!"

Roxy: "I was too late."

Freddy: "Too late for what? Are you even listening?"

Roxy: "I didn't make it. I failed."

Freddy: "What are you on about?"
