Chapter 17 - Trail of Turmoil

Freddy: "Don't worry. She will be fine, thanks to your quick thinking."

'Him': "What if I wasn't fast enough?"

Monty: "You did your best."

'Him': "This is my fault to begin with, I should never have come here in the first place."

Chica: "Don't say that. Without you, I don't even know if we'd all still be together as friends."

Monty: "I have to agree."

Freddy: "I hate to admit it, but I think it is true."

'Him': "What if she doesn't make it? What happens then? You can't replace her without backlash from her fans, and you can't continue with just the three of you."

Freddy: "I... don't know."

Chica: "I'm not sure I'd want to continue without her."

Monty: "... Seeing as you were the one who helped her most and know her best, maybe you should decide."

'Him': "That doesn't seem fair on you guys."

Monty: "Hmm. Can you play any instruments?"

'Him': "I can play the piano, which is similar to a keyboard, I'd need some practice, though. I have played various other instruments in the past, but that's the one I'm best at. If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, then the answer is no. I said you can't replace her, and I most certainly couldn't, I wouldn't be good enough anyway, even if the fan base and the whole past year thing wasn't a problem."

Monty: "It's an option in the worst-case scenario."

Freddy: "She is a strong woman."

Chica: "She will live. Even if in a memory."

'Him': "No, not that, not like that."

Freddy: "Please, just listen. Roxanne Wolf is the strongest woman I know. You made her stronger. She will be fine."

'Him': "We don't even know where she is."

Freddy: "True, but we can find her. She can't be too far away."

'Him': "I know, but I just... ah!"

Monty: "Are you... crying?"

'Him': "YES!"

They all stood solemnly in silence. 'He' lifted his head up with a blank look staring forward.

'Him': "I wonder."

Chica: "What?"

'Him': "I wonder if Jolene is still in that room."

Chica: "Which room? Wait, what are you thinking?"

'Him': "Something that would make your skin crawl."

Monty: "I hope it's not that bad."

'Him': "I'm going to drive someone to insanity."

Chica: "No! Think of Roxanne!"

'Him': "That only makes me want to kill them. Slowly. Painfully."

This put the three on edge.

Freddy: "Perhaps it would be best if you went to sleep or something."

Chica: "Yes! Maybe we can all stay together and sleep with some of the big plushies."

Monty: "That don't sound too bad."

'Him': "Maybe."

Chica: "That's it."

'Him': "Later."

Chica: "Why not now?"

'Him': "Something... takes priority."
