An intense red ruby eyes gazed at me with fury. If only looks could kill, then I might have been long dead by now.

"Look what you've done," Ruhee said, letting out a low growl at the end.

I blinked the lids of my eyes. "Pardon my love?"

Ruhee growled, pointing her fingers at me "Nisha, you really are…!"

"What?" I mumbled, a bit confused.

Ruhee sneered. "You schemed at me."

"Hmm?" I mumbled, just staring at Ruhee. "What scheme?"

The fiery woman gritted her teeth, stepping forward as she cupped my cheeks. "That play you did earlier," she paused as her face darkened. "You made my brother misunderstand…"

Suddenly, her eyes widened as if an epiphany came to her mind. "You…! This is what you've been hoping for to happen from the start…"

"And what exactly am I hoping for then?" I questioned, gazing down at her as she looked up to me with passion.

Ruhee snarled warningly, leaning even more forward, leaving only an inch of gap between us. My lips smiled wryly, feeling some kind of deja vu with the situation.

"Also," I paused, grabbing her wrist, making her release my face from her grip as I continued. "Aren't you being too ambiguous with this position? If you want to kiss me, don't do it in public, alright?"

"Nisha," Ruhee called out, growling in anger. Her face turned red; about to erupt like a volcano. "Stop fooling around. I don't have the patience to tolerate your shenanigans."

I smiled innocently. "But the crowd outside is watching us currently, my love," I said.

Ruhee knitted her brows. "What are you talking about?"

"Here look," I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and made her face the transparent glass of the wall.

People are crowding the shop outside, making me feel like some kind of animal in the zoo for display. "See the crowd? They are probably waiting for us to kiss," I said, glancing at Ruhee again.

The woman clenched her jaw. "Why would they even watch us do that? And who said I'm going to kiss you anyway?"

I let out a sigh. "If not my lips, what is it that you want from me then?" I questioned, tone full of ambiguity.

Ruhee's face turned even more grim by the second. "Will you ever get serious?" She spat.

"You want me to be serious with you?" I asked, tilting my head to the side with a playful smile.

The woman nodded. "Yes, we need to speak eye to eye. I can't let you play around like a monkey, while I deal with the mess."

I chuckled. "Mess? You mean yours, right?" I said.

Ruhee glared at me deadly in the eye. "Are you implying that this misunderstanding is all my fault?" she sneered with venom.

I shrugged with an innocent smile. "Otherwise?"

Her face darkened, glaring at me savagely.

I raised my lips into a warm smile, staring back at Ruhee with the same passion; just minus the rage; this made the woman even more upset than she already is. "My love, what did I do that isn't part of the plan?" I asked in a calm tone.

Ruhee furrowed her brows, squinting her eyes at me as she opened her lips wanting to refute. However, she only let her mouth hang open; she seemed unable to come up with any.

I raised my hand, reaching out to her chin to close her lips as I leaned forward, staring at her bloody passionate eyes. "Can't think of anything?" I whispered, grinning at her.

Ruhee gritted her teeth in shame as she slapped my hand away, taking a step back.

I feel like I did something very wrong; especially with the way Ruhee is peering at me. It's the same feeling I got when she and I first met when I transmigrated into this body.

All I did was play along with her. So why is she suddenly getting mad at me?

I'm really clueless here. Just a second ago, we were pretending to be affectionate lovers with each other, then suddenly, Ruhee dropped the act as soon as her brother left.

"If it was about your brother's misunderstanding, then you should know that this is the consequence of the plan you started," I said with a blank face. "I merely cooperated with you, just like the way you wanted me too. Don't blame others for your mess."

Ruhee didn't respond. She only stared at me with her passionate raging eyes. It left an impression that I did something wrong with her.

I averted my eyes, feeling a pang in my chest.

I suddenly felt tired; my extroverted energy is about to be depleted. Especially with all those crowds outside, waiting for Ruhee to get out. It's probably because Ruhee is popular in this region; she's the daughter of the Duke after all; it's no wonder why everyone was following like they just saw some celebrity.

Regardless of my exhaustion inside, I remained cordial on the outside, walking to the sofa inside the boutique shop and sitting on it with my legs crossed. I glanced at Ruhee, who seemed to be still in her rage mode. Well, she is always angry with me to begin with, so there is nothing unusual about it anymore, but it felt like she's even more upset this time.

"You know," I started. "We can always drop this anytime you want," I said suggestively.

Ruhee narrowed her eyes. "After making my brother misunderstand, you now want to discard me away?"

I blinked my eyes. Huh?

"So this is what you've been scheming about, huh," Ruhee sneered.

"I…" I opened my lips to explain myself, but Ruhee didn't wait as she spoke again.

Her eyes, full of bitterness, gazed at me, looking unwilling. "You made me voluntarily cancel my engagement."

I stared at Ruhee, wanting to crack her head open. The woman stride her legs, walking and sitting beside me as she grabbed my face yet again.

"I must say…that's a brilliant strategy indeed," she said, leaning her head forward slowly. "But listen carefully Nisha," she whispered with a smirk, gazing at my lips. "If I can't become Cleopatra's wife, then no one will."

My heart accelerated, pounding hard as they all sent alarming signals in my head. I gulped as I tried to scoot away, but Ruhee held me firmly, snaking her hand around my waist, while cupping my cheeks with her other one.

"My love," Ruhee called affectionately.

The tone was so warm and tender that my eardrums felt like they were exploding from disbelief and dubiousness. For the first time, I felt how dangerous Ruhee is.

"Ruhee, what are you…doing?" I asked, plastering a smile. "People may really believe that we're a couple if you keep doing this."

Ruhee smirked, staring at me with her eyes full of vengeance. "Then let them," she replied, pulling me for a kiss.

My eyes widened in shock. "!!!"
