There is always a rainbow after the rain.

I don't know who came up with that line, but whoever it is; they are absolutely a sage for discovering that line.

It totally defines my life right now. Like, who would have thought that I would live a cosy lazy life in another world, right?

It used to be just a dream to me. But here I am.

Leaning comfortably, sitting on the window sill, and a pile of books next to me, I sighed with a relaxed smile on my face, as I let the warm sun bathe my skin.

I took a sip on my coffee, crunching on the cookies, and just doing nothing in particular. What a satisfying unproductive day.

Oh, the book?

Well, it's just there to motivate me to do nothing. But I'm not reading that, or I would, but not right now.

Today, I just want to enjoy nothing but relaxing. Otherwise, I would fail my goal of living a salted fish life. After all, it was all about doing nothing but enjoying the moment.

Because I have the luxury to enjoy it now. Or so I'd like to think, if only the woman sitting opposite me is not staring at me with menace.

"Nisha," Ruhee growled.

I smiled innocently as I turned to look at Ruhee, sitting on the opposite side of the window sill. "Yes, dear lovable host?"

Her unsmiling cold face and fiery red bloody eyes settled to observe me. "Accompany me to the masquerade ball."

At that, I lifted the cup, sipping the coffee loudly in front of the calm yet raging woman, then I put the cup on the saucer with a loud clink.

Ruhee clicks her tongue, running out of her thin patience as she growls. "You are going to accompany me, Nisha."

I tilted my head to the side as I stared back at Ruhee, admiring the woman openly.

Ruhee narrowed her eyes as she smirks. "Have you stared enough? If so, then accompany me to the masquerade ball to show your appreciation."

I ignored what Ruhee just said as I continued with my act, gazing at Ruhee with admiration. "Has anyone told you how exquisitely beautiful you are?" I stated; a strategy to divert conversation.

Ruhee clicks her tongue. "Enough with the greasy talk tactic to divert my attention, Nisha."

At that, I return to my usual innocent smile since my plan didn't work. "Even if I don't understand what you're implying, I must say that I'm serious…" I mumbled, still trying if the plan of diverting tactic will work. "...when I said you're beautiful, dear host."

"I'm serious as well, Nisha, you must come with me." Ruhee replied solemnly, biting her lower lip; her red bloody eyes stared at me with a little eager nervousness.

I smiled as I raised up my index finger. "About that…"

"As my partner, Nisha." Ruhee added as she interrupted me.

I gaze calmly at Ruhee, smiling cordially. "What if I say no?"

"Like it or not, you'll come with me, otherwise expect for the worst," Ruhee warned, dashing out as she left the room, banging the wooden door with a thud.

I stared speechlessly at the closed door, then I facepalm myself.

With a sigh, I glance outside the window, contemplating on what to do and how to handle this persistent woman on making me her partner.

That's right, partner.

Partner in crime!

Ruhee had been pestering me to become her new partner. Coincidentally, there is this masquerade ball party coming up in a week, and Ruhee wants me to come with her as her date
