I stepped down the starry path back down to my body. A truly out of body experience. As I walked I had memories of life playing around me. Things that had truly changed me. One memory was of me meeting my very first best friend and how over protective I was of him. Another memory of when my best friend in highschool hugged me for the first time. Another memory of all the teachers that supported me in Highschool.
Memory after memory in star filled images. One memory appeared in front of me stopping me. I was on a call for work and a womans voice spoke. I remembered her, She had Type 4 cancer, was trying to clean up her accounts. Our phone call lasted an hour and a half. She told me stories and as she spoke I imagined her in her wheelchair next to me. "The doctors gave me six months to live, and here I am two years later still fighting." Her voice sang with a soft strength to it. We had almost finished the call when she had stopped me, "Will you do me a non-financial favor. When you go out side please look up at the sky. So many people are so focused on looking ahead they forget to look at the sky. Children know what the sky looks like, we do not. And when you come home, Kiss the feet of the one who is there to greet you, Unless its a dog, you don't know where those feet have been." We both laughed, "Also make sure to write down 100 things you want to do before you die, and do them. You only have one life so live it and fight for it." Tears were streaming down my face as we continued to talk, "The last thing I want to leave with you is to remember that every choice you make has an affect whether for good or evil. You choose everyday, whether or not you want to be a force for light, or a force for dark. You can choose what you want, just choose wisely."
Another memory played as i remembered family moments and times I was just held by my mom while I cried. Memories of fighting with my siblings and then making up. Memory after Memory as I just kept walking. I stopped at one memory where Montes and I were cuddling and I smiled. He really is amazing. Montes gave excellent massages and knew how to show he loved you.
Memories of all the friends I had ever had. The path was beautiful scattered with stars and watching shooting stars pass me. The wings behind me light my path as I journey into where ever I was going. The journey took hours until I reached two doors, One was white with a black circular window, the other black with a circular white window. I have no idea which one to choose.
After thinking for a bit, I heard a young boys voice. I turned around and there was a young Romeo Winters, "Hello."
"Why hello Romeo. What can I do for you?"
"Don't you remember your three promises?"
"What promises are those."
He got up close and whisperred, "To live life to the fullest. To love deeply. And to never take your life." He backs away, "So why are you struggling withthis decision?"
"Because I am lonely and lost."
"We have always been that way. So fix it. Let the fire in you burn bright. Please don't stop fighting."
We talked for some time until I had made the decision and opened the Black door with white window...
I burst up and see around me. It is dark and no one was around. I had an IV sticking into my arm and I had a pounding headache. I look around and see hospital machines keeping me alive. The smell of bleach and clean fills my nose as my eyes adjust to the light. I notice next to me some rainbow convers. They were my size and everything.
I took the shoes out of the box and felt the fabric. They were very cute shoes. I loved the rainbow that spread over the fabric. I couldn't find a card but I did notice black wings on the back.
A nurse passed by my room and saw me, she rushed away, "Coma patient is awake! Coma patient is awake!" Doctors rushed in and started checking vitals, writing notes, and I could hear someone making calls.
