Filler chapter to show you Janie's personality. One day before her and Bella's birthday.

Janie walks through the corridor of Forks High School. This place is so familiar to her now and she hasn't been here two years yet. She hears a commotion from down the hall: laughter and crying. She pushes through a thirty-student-thick (all the way around) crowd and she sees Clarissa Bell, a classic bully who torments people not as 'high up the food chain' as herself.

Janie walks over and she taps her shoulder.

"Ooh, if it isn't my next tar-"

Clarissa yelps out when Janie interrupts her by punching her hard in the face, knowing the bully to her butt in the floor in front of everyone. The crowd laughs even harder. Janie ignores them and goes over to Nica Patrel, an Indian girl who was Clarissa's most recent target. She's a sweet girl and very smart, she's what the jocks and typical bullies would call a geek, while Janie would be labeled lower-class because her dad is the chief of police.

"Okay," Jasper says as he walks through, he and Alice appearing on each side of Janie as Clarissa's posse, Nina Delleroux and Sophia Hastings, show up. "Let's go, Janie."

"I did what I wanted to anyway," Janie replies. "She's not worth any more attention. She'll get plenty now."

Alice giggles. She's seen Janie's future up until the birthday party she throws but after it's all blank. Alice is concerned about it because she has no idea why she cannot see Jasper's human best friend's future anymore.

"Yes, she really will," Alice replies and the crowd move so the trip can pass. "That was a good punch."

"I hate hitting people," Janie says, "even people like Clarissa Bell."

"That's why you're the sweetest human we know," Alice chirps and they walk down the hall.

Bella and Edward see them and they share a smile before they look at a huffed out Clarissa.

"She's thinking about all the ways she regrets doing what she's done to Janelle," Edward says. "Because she didn't think she'd embarrass her like this,"

"Oh, Janie can be just plain savage when she needs to be but she always feels bad right after," Bella says.

"Yeah, I know," Edward says and the two walk.

No one knowing what tomorrow will bring.
