When the training starts, Janie is on a plane to Jacksonville to see her mom and Phil. She stares out the window. She's sat beside a woman named Jennifer and her toddler daughter named Gemma, Gemma is sitting in the middle.

"What are you going to Jacksonville for, hon?" Jennifer asks curiously.

"To visit my mom and stepdad," Janie replies. "I haven't seen her in nearly two years, not since I moved to Washington. I've missed her."

Jennifer smiles at her and they make small talk the entire ride.

Renee hugs her daughter and swirls her around when Janie approaches her at the airport. Phil grabs Janie's suitcases before anyone can steal them and they all go out to the car and they go to the house. Janie changes into some shorts and a tank top before she goes out to catch some rays with her mom.

"How are your University of Washington courses going?" Renee asks.

"Good," Janie replies. "I might major in Biology of Human Biology when the time comes."

"You still want to be a doctor," Renee says as she peers at her little girl. "I'm so proud of you. Wait here. I made you something for your graduation present."

Janie lays back as Renee hurries into the house. The brunette closes her blue eyes and enjoys the heat of the sun. Renee comes out with a homemade sweater that has Janie and Paul's face on it. Janie sent Renee a picture of the two, two days ago, two days before the flight.

"Mom," Janie smiles. "I love it."

Renee hugs Janie when Janie stands up. Janie hugs her mother back warmly and Phil watches from inside.

"I'm so glad you're spending a few days here," Renee says. "I'm gonna miss you so much when you leave."

"I'm gonna miss you, too, but I have Paul to go back to Washington to," Janie says.

"I understand," Renee coos. "I am so happy that you're happy. Next time you come, being Paul. I want to meet him since I met Edward already, more than one time."

"Okay, mon," Janie agrees. "I want you to meet him, too."

Renee and Janie go inside the house to talk some more since Phil has went to the batting range.
