"Excuse the mess." Mrs. Beaver apologized as the beavers and Pevensies gathered around to eat, besides Edmund who sat on the steps. "Can't get Mr. Beaver out of his chair."

"Isn't there anything we can do to help Tumnus?" Peter asked them.

"They'll have taken him to the Witch's. You know what they say. There's a few that go through them gates that come out again." Mr. Beaver explained causing Rosie to grow extremely worried, slightly fidgeting in her seat

"Fish n chips?" Mrs. Beaver asked walking over with a plate of food, trying to lighten the mood but was unsuccessful. She simply placed her paw on Rosie and Lucy's shoulder. "But there is hope, dears. Lots of hope."

Mr. Beaver chocked on his drink and smiled. "Oh, yeah there's a right bit more than hope. Aslan is on the move." He lowly said causing Rosie to perk up a bit, when sudden flashes of a lion walking kept popping up, making her close her eyes a bit while rubbing her temples.

"Who's Aslan?" Edmund asked as Rosie opened her eyes, quickly grabbing her cup for a sip. Everyone turned back to the beavers once Mr. Beaver started to laugh which made the Pevensies confused.

"Who's Aslan? You cheeky little blighter." He continued to laugh until Mrs. Beaver nudged his shoulder, getting his attention. "What?" She gestured to the Pevensies, who looked back at the beavers confused. "You don't know, do ya?"

"Well, we haven't exactly been here long." Peter started.

"Well, he's only the king of the whole wood--the top geezer--the real king of Narnia." Mr. Beaver explained, but the siblings were still slightly confused besides Rosie, who was understanding a bit more from the images she was given.

"He's been away for a long while." Mrs. Beaver softly said.

"But he just got back!" Mr. Beaver exclaimed, "And he's waiting for you and Mother Nature herself near the stone table." He added looking at Rosie, after the alias which stumped the little girl. She had a nickname?

"He's waiting for us?" Lucy asked.

"And Mother Nature?" Peter asked confused. Lucy turned to Rosie, the sisters' sharing a small look as Mr. Beaver facepalmed, realizing Peter did not see him referring to Rosie.

"You're bloomin' joking--" He mumbled and then realizing something, "They don't even know about the prophecy!"

"Well, then," Mrs. Beaver motioned over to the siblings, telling him to continue.

Mr. Beaver sighed softly before starting, "Look, Aslan's return, Tumnus' arrest, the secret police, it's all happening because of you!"

"You're blaming us?"

"No! Not blaming. Thanking you." Mrs. Beaver corrected.

"There's a prophecy. 'When Adam's flesh and Adam's bone sits in Cair Paravel in throne, the evil time will be over and done."

"You know that doesn't really rhyme."

"I don't think literary is important right now." Rosie muttered.

"Yes, exactly!" Mr. Beaver exclaimed agreeing with Rosie, getting a bit riled up. This made Rosie chuckle softly at his annoyance with her older siblings. " You're kinda missin' the point."

"It has long been foretold that two Sons of Adam and three Daughters of Eve will defeat the White Witch and restore peace to Narnia."

"And you think we're the ones?"

"You should be based on how secure the White Witch is getting now that her biggest rival is here. Along with Aslan already fitting out your army."

"Our army?" Lucy asked.

"Biggest rival?" Rosie asked a bit fearful since she knew the beavers were referring to her.

"Mum sent us away so we wouldn't get caught up in a war." Susan pointed out to Peter.

"I think you've made a mistake. We're not heroes." Peter claimed.

"We're from Finchley."

"I'm terrified to talk to anyone, especially adults, now I have one that hates me, and we're rivals?" Rosie squeaked out, shaking her head slightly.

"Thank you for your hospitality. But we really have to go." Susan told the beavers, getting up with Peter.

"No, you just can't leave."

"He's right. We have to help Mr. Tumnus." Lucy argued as she turned to Rosie waiting for her response. Rosie felt that she needed to quickly calm down. She didn't want to leave but she wasn't definitely not ready to face the witch.

However, Peter wasn't waiting for her response. "It's out of our hands. I'm sorry, but it's time the five of us were getting home. Ed?" The older siblings turned to the stairs, and realized it was empty. "Ed?" Peter called out again, causing Rosie and Lucy to turn, dread filling their stomachs realizing their brother wasn't there. Peter turned to Susan, "I'm gonna kill him."

"You may not have to. Has Edmund ever been to Narnia before?"

Lucy and Rosie shared scared looks as they got up and everyone besides Mrs. Beaver left to go and find him.

"Hurry!" Peter told the others, holding Rosie's hand as they rushed through the snow.

Once they reached the top of the hill, they saw Edmund in the distance as he was going inside the glowing castle. "Edmund!" Lucy yelled out.

"Shh! They'll hear ya!"

Peter ran but Mr. Beaver stopped him by grabbing the sleeve of his coat, "No!"

"Get off me!"

"You're playing into her hands."

"We can't just let him go!"

"He's our brother!"

The siblings argued with the Mr. Beaver, but Rosie quickly came to his aid, "He's the bait! She wants all five of us."

"Why?" Peter asked.

"To stop the prophecy from coming true." Rosie concluded.

"To kill ya!" Mr. Beaver added

The siblings looked at the castle horrified as the doors closed behind Edmund. "Now we know why she doesn't like you." Rosie looked down at Mr. Beaver. "You know what she's planning." Rosie simply looked at him before glancing up at the castle, biting her lip as she slowly understood her part in the prophecy.

"This is all your fault." Susa accused Peter.

"My fault?"

"None of this would have happened if you had just listened to me in the first place!"

"Oh, so you knew this would happen?"

"I didn't know what would happen. Which is why we should have left while we still could!"

"Stop it! This isn't going to help Edmund." Lucy argued.

"She's right. Only Aslan can save your brother now."

"Then take us to him." Peter answered with a grave look as guilt grew inside him.
