2016
I was a junior in college and I was working backstage at my school where they held this concert called Springfest. Migos was one of the the performers, I was a HUGE fan so of course I ran from backstage to the crow to watch them perform. They performed songs "Freak No More" and "Fight Night". I screamed the lyrics along with the crowd and danced to the music. When they were done performing, I went back to doing my job and headed backstage. I started to look back at my clipboard as I was walking and I noticed him walking towards me. I stopped in my tracks and looked around. My heart sank in to my ass as I started walking again but slowly. Still not sure if he was walking to me or not. He got closer and closer, the close he got, the more he started to smile.
"I noticed you enjoying the music. I saw you earlier and didn't know if you were a student or not. "He said to me as he slowly looked me up and down.
"Yep. I'm a junior here." I responded. "I'm (your name)."
"I'm Takeoff." He looked to the right, "That's Quavo." He looked to the left. "And that's Offset. It's obvious you know who we are but I just wanted to make a formal introduction." He stated.
"Damn you fine!" Quavo said as he looked at me as he shook my hand.
"BAD." Take added.
"Nice to meet you." Offset said as he shook my hand.
I giggled. "Thank y'all. Well it was nice meeting y'all but I have to get back to work."
2018
I was working backstage at the BET awards and the Migos had just finished performing. As I was talking to the director, I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around and it was Quavo. We greeted each other with a hug.
"So... me and my brother been talking about he tryna see what's up with you." He said.
"Which brother?" I inquired.
"Take." He responded.
I started to smile really hard, knowing that my crush was crushing on me.
"So why isn't he over here talking to me then?" I asked.
"Say less." Quavo stated and then started to walk back to his entourage.
I finished getting the teleprompter together for the next award announcement and about five minutes later, Takeoff approached me.
"Hey." I said with a smile on my face.
"How you doing?" He asked.
"I'm good, I loved the performance." I responded.
"Thank you, love. So, we bout to hit up this after party, you tryna come with me?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I was going anyway but I'll ride with you." I told him.
The after party was a nice lil vibe. We danced together and had a couple of drinks. From that point on, me and Take dated about 2 two weeks until i unfortunately told him that we should just be friends. It was like he was there but he wasn't. And I felt like he wasn't letting me get to know him. When I told him, we should just be friends, we did just that. We followed each other on social media and he would like and comment on some of my posts. We would always see each other at events that I would be working at as well. In 2019, The Shade Room posted a picture of him and his girlfriend at the time, it kind of hurt my feelings but I brushed it off. In 2020, you met someone and we began dating until March 2021, I realized the two of us had nothing in common so that was done.
