Jena spent the next few weeks strictly focusing on school and work. Her project was coming together which she was proud of but she still needs to run some tests so that nothing malfunctions. Work was great also. Ryujin and Aujin were her closest coworkers even though everyone else was friendly, except for Sohyun.

Jena spent the most time with Jungwoo since he was also in the same major as her, despite different years. She also found out that he was secretly talking to a girl and wanted to get all the deets from him. Jena also crashes at the JaeWooAli place once in a while.

Jena spent time with Taeyong and his friends once in a while, same with Mark and Erin. Turns out Erin loves hearing tea but she only spills to Mark, Jeno, and Haechan.

Of course, Jena avoided Doyoung and Jeno at all times as she could, at school, at home, and at work when Doyoung comes by to get his dose of coffee.

Jena was currently at work on Saturday, as the Sun and Moon coffee shop started slowing down because people were at other restaurants having their lunches. She finished wiping the counters and now just waiting for customers to come in along with Han Ryujin.

"Gosh, I'm so tired." Ryujin wiped her forehead, throwing the rag near the sink. "I barely got sleep last night because there was an assignment that was due at midnight. I want to cry so much."

"Dude, I've been super tired too. I haven't been able to spend time with my friends except for Jungwoo since he takes me home from school." Jena responded back to Ryujin as her hands were on the counter, resting. "I guess not too often now cause he told me he's seeing someone."

"He was the guy that came in this morning and went like 'Howdy Jena!' right?" Ryujin asked to confirm her suspicion since she was at the other side of the cafe serving customers when he entered.

"Yup." Jena beamed a bright smile, slightly embarrassed cause it was a very noticeable entrance. "That's Kim Jungwoo for you."

Ryujin and Jena saw that more customers had came in, starting the next wave of customers. What Jena didn't pick up in the hours of working was that Doyoung and Gaeun came into the cafe, sitting at a table waiting for their drinks.

"I'll bring the order to table number 7." Jena was about to pick up the tray with the receipt until she saw who was at table number 7. She then placed the tray down. "Nevermind."

"What's wrong?" Ryujin went to Jena's side and talked near her ear.

"Don't want to interact with certain people." Jena whispered back. Ryujin took the order receipt for table number 7 and the tray. She saw a man and a woman at the table and understood that Jena had some sort of unlikable association with them.

"I got it. You don't have to deal with them." Ryujin patted her on the shoulder, understanding how she felt, despite barely knowing Jena's personal life. "Can you swap as cashier for now?"

"Yeah, gotcha." Jena quickly went to the cashier where the customers are paying.

Doyoung and Gaeun were sitting at the Sun and Moon Cafe, unintentionally coming in when Jena was working. Doyoung already noticed Jena, but Gaeun didn't. Doyoung of course paid for their drinks out of formality and it was probably gonna be the last thing he'll be paying for her anyways.

"Hello, here are the two hot lattes for table number seven." The female cafe worker passed their drinks on their table. Doyoung and Gaeun thanked her for their drinks. Doyoung also read her name tag as Ryujin.

After Ryujin left, Doyoung and Gaeun were simply drinking their hot lattes in peace, probably in awkward silence because Doyoung had his hands in his jacket pocket while Gaeun was looking around, hoping he would say something.

"So, what makes you want to bring me here?" Doyoung asked Gaeun a question. She looked at him with her nice eyes.

"I wanted to know if you're truly interested in me. It's been a while since we've been talking at school and such." Gaeun spoke with her nicest tone possible but Doyoung knew it was pretty fake and disgusting.

Doyoung leaned in closer towards Gaeun, giving that same smudged smirk he gives every other girl when he breaks their heart. "Do you really want to know how I feel?"

Gaeun nodded.

"I have no interest in you at all." Doyoung spoke in his lower octave and Gaeun's pride sinked, about to cry. She thought she had a chance with one of the hottest guys at school. "I was just having fun around you."

Gaeun brimmed into tears and stood up. "Is it because of that Jena girl?" She screamed causing a scene at the cafe. "It's her isn't it?"

Jena suddenly heard her named being called while gathering baked goods from the back and saw that Gaeun was throwing a fit on Doyoung. Customers and employees stopped what they were doing and looked. She hid so that customers wouldn't see her name tag and watched the scene.

"Jena has nothing to do with it." Doyoung looked up towards Gaeun seeing her wiping her tears. "If anything, your qualities are lower than hers."

Gaeun made a really immature noise, stomping out of the cafe. Everyone in the cafe looked at each other and then resumed to their own business. Haerin came out of the back. "I was gonna get it under control but I guess she really left Doyoung."

Jena just shrugged because Doyoung was the last person on her mind right now and continued working. Not long after, Doyoung left the cafe.

Haerin went to the back kitchen and continued working. Ryujin then came up to her when the cafe started slowing down as customers were seated at different tables.

"Do you and that guy have some sort of tense relation? It's okay if you don't wanna share." Ryujin asked Jena gently, not wanting her to push herself to say anything.

"Honestly Ryujin, let's just say we aren't the friendliest roommates to each other." Jena sighed while Ryujin simply nodded.

"I've been there before, except with my ex-boyfriend. Don't worry Jena, I understand how you feel. If you ever want to talk, I'm always here. I'm not the type to spill business especially since most of my friends are guys anyways." Ryujin let out a reassuring smile while Jena reciprocated back.

"Thanks Ryujin."

Doyoung was sitting on the couch, watching a K-Drama episode. He heard the door open and saw Jean came through the door. He expected her to make a rude remark to him, but instead he saw her figure. He saw that she was tired.

Jena took out something from her pocket, placing it on the table. Her voice became hoarse as she cleared her throat. She wasn't having it with Doyoung either especially since she was avoiding him.

Jena placed the check with the paid rent on the table so that Doyoung can collect it like usual. She sighed out of exhaustion, preparing to walk away from her room. "I don't want any remarks tonight, just leave me alone."

When Doyoung heard that voice of Jena's, he was stunned. But then it quickly passed his mind as he heard the door close, assuming that was Jena going into her room.

He went over to the island table and picked up the check that Jena had placed for him and went back to the living room couch to watch his K-Drama.

At least she's keeping up with rent.
