The first thing Jena recognized at school the next day was Doyoung's sudden change of attitude. He became cold, scary, but also mean to her again. The girl was left confused. It was like they weren't back to square one. He acted like last night didn't happen nor what they developed didn't even happen at all.

"Why are you avoiding me? Did I do something wrong Doyoung?" Jena grabbed his arm at the corridor of the school where no one was around.

"Just stay away from me Jena." Doyoung gritted his teeth, trying to release from her grip but she kept gelding on.

"Why should I stay away from you?" Jena aggressive let go of his wrists making him fall back a bit but he was still guarded.

"Listen, Jena." Doyoung leaned in closer to her, breathing as his breath fans against her face. "What happened between us was nothing. We're just roommates seeking to find a home to go to school for convenience. But most importantly, I don't want to associate myself with you anymore."

Jena scoffed, tears brimming in her eyes but she held them. "So I was just one of your girls? I should've known and not be naive in the first place. I'm so stupid for even listening to all your lies that you've told me."

Jena couldn't hold her tears anymore and so she pushed him out of anger and ran around the corners of the school. Doyoung did his best to keep his facade, but once Jena was out of sight, his breath seethed, wondering whether or not to regret his words.

God, I'm such a fucking asshole but it's for the best.

Jena skipped her classes for the day and all she could really do is cry in the restroom. Whenever girls came by to use it, Jena would cover her mouth to prevent herself from crying more tears.

After a while, she heard another voice coming in and did her best to muffle them but what she didn't know was that they looked at the bottom of the stall and recognized the person due to the shoes and backpack.

"Jena? Is that you?" Erin knocked on the stall, curiously worried as she heard muffles. "It's me Erin."

Jena got up from her position and opened the bathroom door. Erin's heart dropped seeing her boyfriend's cousin with dried tears and a puffy face. Erin engulfed her into a hug. "Come here girly.... I know it's hard. I'm here for you..."

Jena found comfort in Erin despite not talking to her much. Maybe it's the Mark girlfriend's syndrome where she's basically a pass. She placed her head down and cried more into Erin's shoulders. "Why does relationship... life... have to be..... so hard?"

Erin cocked an eyebrow, hearing what Jena mumbled. She didn't mind it though, understanding how Jena felt. Honestly she didn't know Jena liked someone especially the fact she was independent. She honestly thought it was the project that Jena had to start over, hearing it from Jungwoo.

Jena stopped crying after a bit and got off Erin's shoulders. "Thanks Erin."

"No problem." Erin patted Jena on the back, rubbing circles so that her breathes get more steadier. "I won't pressure you to talk about it but if you ever want to tell me. I'm here. After all, I consider you as my family after being Mark's lover for so long."

Jena chuckled at the last statement about being Mark's lover but she appreciate it. She had an idea that might help her cope with the situation.

"Erin, by any chance, do you think I'll be able to stay at your place?" Jena suggested to the girl who was texting her way into her housemate group chat.

"Already texted them, there's no way any of them could say no." Erin checked her phone again seeing all the yes's from three guys and giving her a 'duh' statement that Jena is welcome anytime. "Would you look at that? Let's skip school so that you can pack some of your stuff to get away. It's nice to be away from home for a while."
