Jena worked at the cafe next day but Jeno had to drop her off since he lived further away. He even told her that she could stay as long as she wanted at his place but there wasn't a proper room for her. Eventually, Jena knows that she has to go back to the apartment shared with Doyoung.

"Jena, can you bring these to table number 3?" Haerin asked Jena while she's making other orders.

"Yeah, I got ya." Jena did what she was told to deliver the drinks to the table and brought the tray back.

Then Jena started fixing the self service stand to make sure there was enough salt, sugar, cream, water dispenser, utensils, and napkins. Whatever was low she went to the back and restocked the section. It was a busy shift like usual which she particularly enjoyed.

"Sohyun is being so mean today." Aujin came up to Jena who was fixing the self service stands, making his way to wipe down the tables with a cleaner spray and a wet rag. "She's been annoying Yoonjae and Soeun the entire shift."

"Sounds like a Sohyun problem to me." Jena shrugged it off, not caring about the girl anymore. "I'm surprised Haein hasn't fired her yet."

"Haein's too nice and we're slightly understaffed because exam season is coming soon." Aujin told Jena. "Remember, most of us working here are still university students."

"Yeah, I know." Jena lightened up the mood, letting Aujin knew that she understood. Aujin went back to wiping tables.

Not long after Jena watched the door open, with new customers. Her smiled brightened as she saw Taeyong, but faltered when she saw Doyoung. She walked pretty fast to the back so that they couldn't see her.

Taeyong and Doyoung got to the cash register, placing their orders as usual. Haein gave them a discount and they found a table to sit at.

"Is Jena working today?" Taeyong asked Haerin and she looked around for the girl.

"Yeah." Haein told Taeyong as she peeked at the back where Jena was giving an X sign at Haein. "She's on break and she went to go get dinner somewhere. She's currently not in the store right now."

"Tragic." Doyoung side commented but it was only loud enough for Taeyong to here. He even elbowed Doyoung to indicate 'get it together.'

"Awe darn." Taeyong made a little snap, pouting that his younger cousin was here. "Doyoung and I were hoping to visit her and talk to her if she was in here."

Haein smiled at them. "Yeah, just bad timing." She let out a laugh. Taeyong and Doyoung bid good bye to her and left with their finished drinks. Haein was confused.

Are Jena and Doyoung dating or do they hate each other? Their relationship is confusing. Whatever.

"Are they gone?" Jena peeked out from the back where the kitchen was.,

"Yes." Haein turned back to the girl and she came out standing next to her. "You better explain to me your thing going on with Doyoung. He's confusing as fuck, and together, you both are confusing as fuck."

Jena scratched her head, crossing her arms in nervousness as she pretended to look around at the store. "It's... nothing...."

Haein deadpanned at her. Luckily, there were no customers at the cashier right now. "You two definitely have the feels for each other. One thing for sure though is that either you're scared or he is scared. Another possibility is that you're both scared."

Jena let out a huge sigh, not wanting to brim tears at work. "He suddenly didn't want to do anything with me the night after he comforted me when I cried about my project getting ruined. It was like... we didn't even associate to begin with..."

"Oh my god, Kim Doyoung. What is wrong with him?" Haein groaned, knowing this was a common thing for Doyoung to do.

"Just trust me Jena. He'll come around. Don't give up alright?" Haein rubbed Jena's back, giving her assurance.

"I'll try not to."

Doyoung was at his parents house, having dinner as a full family since his father returned from a business trip. The dinner was always rather quiet, but Doyoung couldn't miss out on the free delicious food coming out of his house.

"Donghyun, my dear. How is Arin doing?" Mrs. Kim asked her elder son. He responded after chewing and swallowing his food.

"She's doing amazing." Donghyun beamed at his mother. "We went to Singapore for our 3 year anniversary and came back last week. It was such a fun trip. She had so many connections."

"Isn't that amazing." Mrs. Kim smiled and she turned to Doyoung darting her eyes into his. "So Doyoung, how is that girl you've been seeing?"

"She's fine." Doyoung monotonously responded like usual. His mother was looking at him more closely.

"You know, my son. I already have a grasp on her. Lee Jena? Is that correct?" Mrs. Kim cocked her eyebrows. Doyoung widened his eyes on how she knew Jena already.

"She's the daughter of Lee Eunkyung and Lee Jihoon. I didn't know Jihoon kept her in America when he came to our business gala every year. I heard she was back and my my, her and Jeno look very familiar." Mrs. Kim continued on, eating a piece of her steak. "But don't worry my son, I'm not scaring her away. I know nothing about her so far."

Mr. Kim chimed in, seeing that Doyoung had grew uncomfortable with the fact that his wife already knew the woman that his son was seeing. "I don't think it's necessary to talk about her like that, but I think it would be a great opportunity for all of us to meet her. We can't judge a book by its cover. After all, she has potential into becoming family."

Doyoung turned to his father, mouthing a thank you to him as his father smiled back to ease the tension of the dinner.

"I mean, I was just throwing some facts." Mrs. Kim said, placing a piece of food in her mouth as she didn't speak again during the dinner.

"Honestly, little brother. I would also like to meet the girl you're bringing too. Maybe she could be good friends with Arin. I'm looking forward to this weekend." Donghyun's lips formed into a genuine smile while Doyoung shyly smiled back, mainly because he wasn't in the mood.

Doyoung didn't know how his mother quickly knew he was seeing Jena, but the part that aches his heart the most is that he hasn't had her presence near him for over a week now.

And it's hurting his heart so much.
