They're Not Human

By GeniusMonkey

Have you ever wondered if they're really human?

For I know my mother isn't an ordinary woman;

Her gentle touch is full of love and sincerity

She is the life and the light of our family.

She carried me on her womb for nine months long,

I can hear her whisper and sing my favorite song

She reads stories and kisses my forehead at night

Making sure we're fine as she turns off the light.

When I'm sick she's my doctor, nurse and caregiver,

She's my dentist and also my health care provider

Mother knows how to heal my colds, cough and fever

I wonder if she's a mutant that has a magical power.

At home she's the master, servant and house keeper,

She's the cook, the waitress and the family server

But most of the times she's our boss and manager,

Treat her with respect or she'll turn into a monster.

At school she's my principal, counselor, and adviser

Learned all my lessons because she's the best teacher

She helps get my tests, projects, and homework done,

In my game she's my coach, teammate and number one fan.

She can read my mind and sends message using her eyes

So I have to tell her everything without stupid lies

And even though she's far I can still feel her inside,

She's everywhere like a ghost and I can't run or hide.

At the same time she's my fairy godmother and Genie

She grants my wishes and helps me in my difficulty,

A Guardian Angel who protects and comforts my fear

Like a Superhero saving me in trouble and in danger.

Mothers maybe different but these are common to all

A wife, mother, and best friend with a beautiful soul

So I conclude that they're not human for they are more

They are superhuman, the mothers we love and adore.
