After reconciling with Dylan, I'd made my way down to the pool after him. It was still hot, and I was now in a bathing suit which left my legs even more prone to sticking together. I refused to do the awkward walk with my legs parted though, so it left me to suffer through the pain.

Upon my arrival at the pool, I'd managed to scrounge up a hair tie and tied my hair up in an awkward-looking half-ponytail half-bun. I didn't care how it looked, but my hair was burning up on my sticky neck. I just washed it today and I knew I was going to have to wash it again with the way my day was going.

"Charlie!" A voice shouts to my left. I guess it was Niko but I couldn't tell because they'd already dove into the pool. I roll my eyes and continue setting my towel up on one of the lawn chairs.

Since I'd brought down the towels I made sure to grab two for myself. Everyone else was left to suffer with one. I laid my first one on the chair and tucked the other in my bag for later.

I'd only had one second to sit on the chair before being interrupted. Of course, it was Dylan. He asked if I wanted anything to eat. I noticed how he had only asked me and I had a sneaking suspicion that it was because he was trying to make up with me. I still wasn't ready to make up and wanted him to suffer a little longer.

I shook my head and went back to get comfortable. Dylan watches me for a minute before sulking over to the pool. That doesn't last long though because Niko and Dylan having a diving contest of some sort.

I don't even pay attention to the idiots as they attempt some made-up dive off the poolside. Instead, I let my eyes wander over to the girls crowded in the corner giggling. They look to my right, and my eyes follow. They were giggling at Peter, of course.

However, he was walking towards me. They were looking at him, I was looking at him, and he was looking at his phone. So, of course, I took my moment to admire him.

As weird as it was, I couldn't help it. Of course, I didn't like the guy, but I wouldn't deny his beauty. I would even dare to compare him to the prettiest flower in the world. I didn't know what it was but I could tell you that he would beat it. Looks wise.

I let my eyes wander shamelessly. His bare feet lightly tapped the stone floor of the poolside. I wasn't going to focus on that. Moving up, his calves flexed gently, almost teasing to show what could be had he intentionally flexed. I should thank his soccer playing for that. Despite that, his arms weren't any less impressive. Almost entirely breaking the soccer stereotype, he was evenly proportioned from head to toe. The bulge of his biceps from his tank top was delicious and even had the other girls licking their lips.

The closer he got, I noticed small droplets of sweat--No, water, dripping from his hair and down his clothed body. I narrowed my eyes, completely abandoning my admiration and going into defensive mode when he sits beside me.

He hadn't greeted me, mumbled, or offered any sort of recognition, just glued his eyes to his phone as I stared in disbelief.

You would've thought he hadn't looked at me like he wanted to devour me just days ago. Like he hadn't followed me around like a lust-filled puppy, even going so far as-

"Can you stop grumbling?"

I look to my right. He hadn't looked up when he spoke to me. He still had his neck craned over his phone, angling it away from the sun to avoid the glare. It was also conveniently angled away from me.

He was unbelievable. I didn't reply, I just focused on trying to relax. I wanted to ignore the idiotic asshole that sat next to me. I wanted to just close my eyes, see the darkness, and bask in the sun.
