The morning breakfast didn't last long after. Peter and Dylan both made a run for it once we mentioned help cleaning up. I only saw a flash of colors and the door opening.

Niko and I shared a knowing look from across the island. We knew they'd leave with just the word clean.

Hence why Niko and I were doing damage control in the pool area where there was various trash littered everywhere. I almost couldn't believe that they'd done so much within the span of Peter and I leaving to mingle on the-

No. Absolutely not. I wouldn't be thinking about Peter as I'm picking up his mess from his friends. He was despicable. He was ghastly. He was absolutely, undeniably, unfathomably terrible.

Terrible.

That's the worst I could come up with. As I'm cleaning up his mess from last night. I kick his beer can and watch it scuttle across the cement. I don't even want to chase after it and pick it up.

Even in his absence, Peter was insufferable.

I felt Niko plop down beside me. "This is impossible." He gasps out.

He was already dripping sweat and we haven't been outside for long. Even I could feel my back getting damp the longer I stayed out here. It didn't help that the sun was beating down on us.

I know we have to finish this, and I know that we'll get in trouble if we don't but we won't last much longer out here. Mr. Garcia was bound to find out what we were up to anyways. I had already accepted that the moment I walked down here this morning.

It looked to be impossible to sort and make it look brand new again.

I sigh too. "This is impossible." I agree. I stretch my legs out and lean back on my arms in exhaustion. The longer we sit out here, the more we're going to bake. We might as well just call it quits and head inside. I could already hear Mr. Garcia yelling at the both of us.

I turn towards Nikko to already find him looking at me. I meet his eyes for a split second before he's glancing away. He coughs quickly, looking everywhere but at me.

"Spill it."

He looks at me once more, almost in shock that I caught on. Almost as if he wasn't being obvious there was something on his mind. Dumb boys.

He coughs once more before finally answering me. "So what's up with you and Nixen?"

Now it's my turn to cough and splutter. I give him an incredulous look. My heart just about jumps out of my chest at his sudden question but here he was completely calm. He gives me an accusatory look as if I had something to hide.

"What-"

"And don't lie! We all saw you two disappear last night. I almost couldn't believe it until I saw your bed empty last night and this morning." He accuses

I gasp at his confession. "You little creep! You came in my room?"

He sits up instantly, taken aback at my answer. Good, because I'm surprised that he was even paying attention last night. He was drunk and most likely high off his mind thanks to 'Nixen'. I'll have to thank him for that later. Given that I've been seeing that group more often than I'd like and it's safe to assume I'll be dragged along once more.

"Don't change the subject, Charlie. All I'm trying to do is find out what's going on. I have questions and I'm sure you'll hear more later."

I don't miss the later part, but all I could think about was how it must've looked to the others last night. Me walking off and then him suddenly disappearing. Us not being gone for hours on end until this morning, and even then we acted like something happened.
